INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 7, 2025The Asian Poker Tour’s largest Korean Main Event has reached the business end of the tournament with the 1,281-strong field whittled down to the final 48 players.

Running in partnership with Paradise Group and playing out at the tournament tables of the palatial Paradise City resort, just 191 of the initial Main Event field of 1,281 entries returned to action for Day 3 of the Main Event all guaranteed at least a KRW 3,760,000 (~USD 2,720) slice of the KRW 2,766,660,000 (~USD 2,000,477) prize pool.

However, no one was playing for a min-cash and it was the KRW 483,890,000 (~USD 349,885) top prize and the award-winning 24K Gold Lion Main Event trophy that all were aiming for.

The action played out over six and a half 60-minute levels, with play concluding with the elimination of China’s Zhiqiang Zhang in 49th place at the hands of Van Pham when the Vietnamese player rivered a straight to best Zhang’s rivered two pair.

That pot moved Pham up to 12th in the overall chip counts and sent Zhang to the cash desk to collect his winnings of KRW 8,180,000 (~USD 5,915).

It is Rishi Mehra who leads Day 3, the Indian player surging to the top of the chip counts on the last level played after turning the nut flush to crack Junjie He’s aces in an all-in five bet pot. He was down, but not out, and concluded the action with the 11th biggest stack of 1,615,000, while Mehra bagged up a chip leading 2,990,000.
