INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, AUGUST 2, 2025– Canada’s Nohad Teliani earned her first APT title by taking down Event #11: PL Omaha High – High Roller to claim KRW 20,000,000 (~USD 14,361). With over USD 500,000 in live earnings, Teliani’s experience helped her navigate a tricky 21-entry field filled with Omaha specialists to secure the trophy.
Teliani and Renji Mao from China, who had won Event #4: Turbo – PL Omaha High the day before, agreed to an ICM deal heads-up, with chip leader Teliani locking up the title and Mao collecting KRW 18,102,000 (~USD 12,998) for his second deep Omaha finish of the series. Belgium’s Antoine Luc F Meremans secured third place and KRW 9,800,000 (~USD 7,033) after a solid showing throughout the tournament.
Also making the money was Daniel Hyongin Lee of the United States, who came into the event with over USD 900,000 in live tournament earnings. The seasoned pro was eyeing his first APT title but had to settle for a min-cash of KRW 6,530,000 (~USD 4,689), falling short after a tough final table run.

Akiyama Shines in First Women’s Event of the Series in Event #12: Women’s Event
Akiyama's first career cash is also her first APT title
Japan’s Mizuki Akiyama made a successful APT debut by capturing her first APT title in Event #12: Women’s Event, the first ladies-only tournament of the Incheon festival. The Japanese amateur outlasted a field of 75 entries to claim the top prize of KRW 4,961,440 (~USD 3,562).
Taiwan’s Ying Yi Wu delivered a strong performance en route to a runner-up finish worth KRW 3,520,000 (~USD 2,528), while Metisa Boonsan of Thailand completed the podium with KRW 2,300,000 (~USD 1,651) for third place.
Thailand’s Yotaka Phutiya, who won the Women’s Championship event at APT Manila 2025, continued her impressive streak of live cashes in Women’s Events by finishing seventh for KRW 860,000 (~USD 617).

Chen Collects Second Mixed Game Title in Event #13: Dealer’s Choice
Chen takes down a second APT title in a mixed game
Australia’s Jie Chen added another feather to his mixed game cap by taking down Event #13: Dealer’s Choice, securing his second APT title — and notably, his second in a mixed game format. The APT regular topped a 56-entry field, collecting KRW 8,320,806 (~USD 5,974) for the win.
Japan’s Eita Sakai put up a valiant fight heads-up to claim second place and KRW 6,020,000 (~USD 4,322), while countryman Hisashi Yamanouchi rounded out the top three with a solid KRW 3,880,000 (~USD 2,786) score.
The final table once again showcased the strength of the Japanese contingent, with five of the eight final tablists hailing from Japan.

Iketaki Makes Triumphant Debut in Event #14: Turbo – PL Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo – Cry Me A River
Iketaki can look back upon this series fondly with his first APT title
Japan’s Ryuta Iketaki made a successful debut on the APT stage, capturing his first-ever live tournament cash and first APT title in one sweep by winning Event #14: Turbo – PL Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo – Cry Me A River. The Japanese amateur navigated a dynamic 51-entry field to lock up KRW 5,131,305 (~USD 3,683) and a lion trophy.
Michael Wookju Chung of the United States put up a strong showing to take second place and KRW 3,710,000 (~USD 2,664), while Japan’s Tadashi Takei secured KRW 2,370,000 (~USD 1,702) in third.

Hachimine Seizes First APT Title in Event #15: Hyper Turbo
Hachimine lays claim to his maiden APT title in Incheon
Japan’s Munehiro Hachimine made a poker career milestone at APT Incheon 2025, clinching his first APT title in Event #15: Hyper Turbo. The amateur topped a field of 95 entries to secure KRW 12,366,368 (~USD 8,879), while also securing the biggest prize purse of his poker career.
Jie Zheng of China put up a strong heads-up performance to finish second and collect KRW 8,650,000 (~USD 6,211), while Tsuyoshi Ikeda, also from Japan rounded out the podium with a third-place payout of KRW 5,710,000 (~USD 4,101).

Choi Wins Second Title of the Day in Event #16: Dealer’s Choice 7 Card Stud
It might as well be Dealer's Choi after taking down his second title in one day
It was a heater of a day for Kevin Choi, who continues his run at APT Incheon 2025 by taking down Event #16: Hyper Turbo – NL – Dealer’s Choice 7 Card Stud, marking his second tournament victory of the day. After triumphing earlier in Event #1: Korea National Cup, Choi returned for another winner’s photo just hours later, claiming his third career APT title and pushing his live earnings past USD 800,000 in the process. He earned KRW 4,030,870 (~USD 2,894) for the win.
Qibang Cheung, a mixed games specialist from the UK, added another strong performance to his series with a second-place finish worth KRW 2,770,000 (~USD 1,988) — his second cash of the series. Tsz Fung Wong from Hong Kong completed the podium in third, taking home KRW 1,770,000 (~USD 1,271).

Mera Breaks Title Duct in Event #17: Super Hyper Turbo
Mera turbos through his competition for his first APT title
Japan’s Yukinari Mera, a familiar face on the Asian circuit, captured his first APT title in Event #17: Super Hyper Turbo, topping a large field of 115 entries. It was a breakthrough moment for the Japanese regular, who powered through the final stages to collect KRW 8,092,576 (~USD 5,810).
Fellow countrywoman Taira Mami took second place for KRW 5,470,000 (~USD 3,929), while Long Jin of China locked in KRW 3,560,000 (~USD 2,555) for a strong third place finish.
