Pakorn Duangtrakan

Pakorn Duangtrakan opened to 16,000 and called a three-bet to 45,000 by Chaiwut Jungpongsakorn in the big blind.

Duangtrakan called a 40,000 bet from Jungpongsakorn on the 8 6 4 flop, but folded facing a 76,000 barrel from Jungpongsakorn on the 3 turn.

Jungpongsakorn, who is fresh off a third-place finish in Event #37 High Roller - Ultra Stack, for a career-best score USD 61,205, currently sits with a stack worth 805,000, more than double the average.

Hajime Watanabe opened to 16,000 from early position and was looked up by Hisashi Yamanouchi in the next seat. Action folded to James Mendoza on the button, who three-bet all-in for 216,000.

Action came back to Watanabe, who pondered for a moment or two and four-bet to 450,000, which was enough to put Yamanouchi all-in, who folded quickly.

Mendoza got no help on the 8 5 K flop, but when the A peeled off on the turn, he stormed into the lead. The river bricked out with the 8 and Mendoza was sent the pot for a double-up.

Naoto Takemura was already all-in and at risk from the blind for a bit under 100,000 against Kazuki Koyama, who had Takemura covered from the small blind.

The 6 9 Q 2 4 runout kept Koyama best with a pair of queens and Takemura was eliminated early on Day 3.

It was heads-up to the turn of 6 8 7 K with about 70,000 sat in the pot.

Horace Leung bet out for 35,000 from the small blind and action was on Shih Hsun Lee in the big blind, who moved all-in for about 55,000 – Leung snap-called.

Lee had hit his pair on the turn but run into Leung flopping the goods and was drawing to three outs. The 5 river wasn't one of Lee's outs and he was sent packing.

Hajime Watanabe

James Mendoza opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and called a three-bet to 48,000 from Hajime Watanabe, who was in the big blind.

Watanabe continued for 48,000 on the 2 7 6 flop and Mendoza responded by shoving all-in. Watanabe called all-in for about 160,000 total and a showdown was held.

Watanabe was ahead with his jacks but needed to fade a lot of outs against Mendoza's flush draw and over card.

The 6 5 turn and river bricked out, and Watanabe was awarded the double up.

Kwang Chung Tan

Yosuke Sekiya opened to 20,000 from under the gun, which left him with just 4,000 behind. Action came around to Kwang Chung Tan in the big blind, who made the call.

On the A 6 T flop Tan checked to Sekiya who moved all-in for his last 4,000, Tan snap-called.

Sekiya was ahead but had to dodge a plethora of outs to stay alive. The 9 peeled off on the turn to send Tan into the lead and when the 7 came on the river to improve Tan to a straight, Sekiya was sent to the rail as an early casulty in Day 3.

Punnat Punsri Will Join the Day 3 Field

After four full days of poker action, a record breaking field of 1,393 entries in the APT Incheon Main Event has been reduced to just 207 hopefuls -- all of whom are now guaranteed a piece of KRW 3,008,540,000 (~USD 2,148,960) prize pool. With the money bubble now firmly in the rearview mirror, the race to the final table begins today.

China's Yuxuan Deng leads the way after ending Day 2 with a stack worth 1,052,000, making him the only player among the returning field to surpass the million-chip mark. Rounding out the podium spots are Japan's Tomoki Matsuda (980,000) and Haris Zambas of Cyprus, who managed to secure 960,000 chips from an OnLive qualifier.

Overall Top 10 Chip Counts

The remaining field includes 169 players who survived Day 2's bubble as well as 39 OnLive qualifiers, who secured their spots into Day 3 online and will enter the tournament already in the money.

While every returning player is guaranteed at least KRW 3,790,000 (~USD 2,700), the real target is the KRW 523,720,000 (~USD 374,085) top prize that goes along with the APT Main Event Lion Trophy. Additionally, the top three finishers will receive seat into the USD 10,000 APTC Main Event later this year.

Incheon Main Event Payouts

Plenty of notables remain in the field, including those who qualified online. Among them are former Mega Lion trophy winners Jeremy Chan (220,000 - newly crowned APT Super High Roller champion), Phachara Wongwichit (93,000 - APT Taipei 2023 High Roller champion), and poker crusher Punnat Punsri (492,000), who won the APT Taipei 2023 Main Event and will be looking to build upon a top tier resume that includes over USD 38,000,000 in live tournament earnings.

Day 3 will get underway at 11:15 a.m. local time with 45 minutes remaining on Level 19, which features 4,000/8,000 blinds with an 8,000 big blind ante. The plan is to play down to 48 players or 10 levels, whichever comes first.
