Shoumin Zhang opened to 21,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 55,000 from Saifah Chanpanya, who was on the button. Action folded back to Zhang and he announced he was all-in, which was enough to put Chanpanya all in for 562,000 total.

Chanpanya tanked a while, deliberating his tournament life, but eventually stuck in some chips to indicate a call.

It was a race for over a million in chips, and the 9 2 A 4 A runout favored Chanpanya after improving him to trips for a huge double-up.

Takeru Endo

Action folded around to Takeru Endo in late position, who opened to 98,000 and left himself just 1,000 behind. It came around to Xinxin Jiang in the cutoff, who three-bet to 155,000. The rest of the table folded and it came back to Endo, who seeing that there was a pay jump, pushed in all his time banks for the dealer to take in at will. With one second left on the clock after all his time banks had been used, Endo tossed in the call.

It was looking grim for Endo and the 2 9 Q flop changed nothing. The A on the turn gave Endo some additional flush outs but when the 4 peeled off on the turn he hit his pair to stay alive with a double-up.

Nozomi Ota

Youkan Li opened to 20,000 from under the gun and called a three-bet from Nozomi Ota in the cutoff.

Li check-called a 35,000 bet from Ota on the 9 T 5 flop and checked again after the 4 fell on the turn. Ota sized up for a bet of 115,000, and Li used up a time bank before announcing he was all-in for 254,000 total.

Ota tanked a bit, but eventually stuck in a call with a covering stack.

Both players held draws, but Ota was ahead with her king.

The 4 river changed nothing and Ota was sent the sizable pot with just king-high to eliminate Li from the tournament.

Wai Kiat Lee

In some blind-on-blind action, it was folded around to Hiroki Ishii in the small blind, who made it 25,000 to play, only for Wai Kiat Lee in the big blind to three-bet jam all in for 114,000. Ishii thought for a while before calling to put Lee at risk.

Not the flop Lee wanted to see as 8 4 8 hit the felt, meaning he was in deep trouble and needed help. None came on the 9 turn and Lee was drawing dead against trip eights. The T sealed the deal on the river and Lee was sent to the rail.

Pakorn Duangtrakan

Pakorn Duangtrakan opened to 16,000 and called a three-bet to 45,000 by Chaiwut Jungpongsakorn in the big blind.

Duangtrakan called a 40,000 bet from Jungpongsakorn on the 8 6 4 flop, but folded facing a 76,000 barrel from Jungpongsakorn on the 3 turn.

Jungpongsakorn, who is fresh off a third-place finish in Event #37 High Roller - Ultra Stack, for a career-best score of USD 61,205, currently sits with a stack worth 805,000, more than double the average.

Punnat Punsri

Punnat Punsri qualified to Day 3 via Natural8 and didn't hang around in adding more chips to his stack.

The Thai player raised to 16,000 from the hijack and Chikara Asano called in the big blind.

They went to a flop of 5 6 K , where Asana check-called a bet of 9,000 from Punsri.

On the 3 turn, Asano checked again, then was faced with a bet of 33,000 from Punsri. After using some time banks, Asano made the call, leaving himself 70,000 behind.

A K landed on the river and after Asana checked for a third time, Punsri asked for the last of his opponent's stack. Asano held 7 3 for a pair of threes, and eventually found the correct fold as Punsri held K Q for trip kings.

James Mendoza

Hajime Watanabe opened to 16,000 from early position and was looked up by Hisashi Yamanouchi in the next seat. Action folded to James Mendoza on the button, who three-bet all-in for 216,000.

Action came back to Watanabe, who pondered for a moment or two and four-bet to 450,000, which was enough to put Yamanouchi all-in, who folded quickly.

Mendoza got no help on the 8 5 K flop, but when the A peeled off on the turn, he stormed into the lead. The river bricked out with the 8 and Mendoza was sent the pot for a double-up.

Naoto Takemura was already all-in and at risk from the blind for a bit under 100,000 against Kazuki Koyama, who had Takemura covered from the small blind.

Horace Leung bet out for 35,000 from the small blind and action was on Shih Hsun Lee in the big blind, who moved all-in for about 55,000 – Leung snap-called.
