JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, September 30, 2025– The Single Day High Roller event at APT Jeju 2025 today delivered a landmark moment in the tour’s history. With a staggering 197 entries, the event became the largest-ever field for this format on South Korean soil. On top of that, it produced the biggest prize pool and payout ever seen in a Single Day High Roller during the APT New Era.
Moroccan pro Chaoui Roqai Mehdi rose to the occasion, putting together a dominant run to capture his first APT title. In doing so, he breached the USD 3 million career live earnings milestone. For his victory, Mehdi claimed a record-setting KRW 169,636,000 (~USD 121,168), the largest prize ever awarded in this event.
China’s Wenhao Ying, who already notched one cash earlier in the series, came close to his first title but had to settle for second place. His runner-up finish was worth KRW 114,510,000 (~USD 81,079).
Australia’s Dylan Wayne Foster also made his mark, finishing third for KRW 78,810,000 (~USD 56,292). With over USD 1.2 million in live earnings, Foster added another strong showing to his résumé after placing sixth in the Superstar Challenge earlier in the series. The Australian pro was chasing his second APT title following his win in the High Roller event at APT Incheon 2025.

Nakanishi Stuns Field in Event #44: NL Hold’em – Sponsored by JOPT
Nakanishi all smiles as he takes home his first APT title and live cash
Japan’s Tomoya Nakanishi produced the performance of a lifetime in Event #44: NL Hold’em – Sponsored by JOPT, defeating a massive 255-entry field to capture his first APT title. An amateur player with no history of live cashes outside of Japan, Nakanishi announced himself on the APT stage, walking away with KRW 45,320,000 (~USD 32,371) and a career-best result.
The runner-up finish went to China’s Yingjie Chen, who banked KRW 30,500,000 (~USD 21,786), adding another strong showing after recently breaking through with his maiden APT victory. Japan’s Masaru Fukuyama joined them on the podium, securing KRW 21,510,000 (~USD 15,364) for third place.
As part of the JOPT sponsorship, special rewards were also in play: Nakanishi, as champion, received a NLH Crown ticket (JPY 250,000 ~ USD 1,700), while the top 30 finishers all earned a NLH Millions ticket (JPY 40,000 ~ USD 270). These tickets can be used for any JOPT Tokyo event before 31 October 2026.

Narozhny Bags Second APT Title in Event #45: Mixed Games Masters – 9-Game
Narozhny has two APT titles and four cashes to his name in APT Jeju 2025
Belarusian pro Siarhei Narozhny continued his streak at APT Jeju 2025 by winning Event #45: Mixed Games Masters – 9-Game. Already with three cashes and one title earlier in the series, Narozhny claimed his second APT title. The result added KRW 13,904,000 (~USD 9,932) to his winnings and pushed his career live earnings closer to the USD 500,000 mark.
Austria’s Alexander Freund secured the runner-up finish for KRW 9,580,000 (~USD 6,843), while China’s Jiaming Li completed the podium, banking KRW 6,110,000 (~USD 4,364).

Duan Triumphs in Event #47: Women’s Main Event
Duan adds a Women's Main Event title to her growing poker resume
China’s Jiao Fang Duan secured a career breakthrough by winning the Women’s Main Event, outlasting a 61-entry field to claim her first APT title. The Chinese grinder, who is well-travelled across the poker scene globally battled through a competitive final table to secure the trophy and a winner’s prize of KRW 11,804,780 (~USD 8,432).
Poland’s Monika Agnieszka Hrabec finished runner-up, banking KRW 8,510,000 (~USD 6,079), while Thailand’s Sananthachat Thanapatpisal completed the podium with KRW 5,530,000 (~USD 3,950).

China’s Ziwen Liu added to his growing list of APT accolades by winning Event #48: PL Omaha 5 Card – Hi-Lo (Big O), capturing his third APT title. Facing off against a competitive 16-entry field, Liu’s took the top spot and a payday of KRW 4,430,268 (~USD 3,165).
Fellow Chinese player Siyuan Lu earned the runner-up finish and KRW 2,960,000 (~USD 2,114), while Zehao Li — already a double title winner in this festival — added yet another cash to his stellar series, taking third place for KRW 1,850,000 (~USD 1,321).

Yin Scores First APT Title in Event #50: Turbo – NL – Triple Draw Mix
Yin makes a brilliant start to his poker career with one cash and one title this series
China’s Wenyuan Yin achieved his first major victory by winning Event #50: Turbo – NL – Triple Draw Mix, topping a 25-entry field to capture his first APT title. The Chinese amateur, who notched his first-ever live cash earlier in the series, converted momentum into silverware here, earning KRW 4,300,400 (~USD 3,072) for the win.
China’s Lante Zhang came close but settled for second place, banking KRW 2,870,000 (~USD 2,050), while Germany’s Martin Michael Sedlak took third for KRW 1,850,000 (~USD 1,321). Japan’s Shingo Hoshiai rounded out the payouts in fourth with KRW 1,230,000 (~USD 879).

Zhu is building a run here at APT Jeju 2025
China’s Jie Zhu earned his first piece of APT silverware by taking down Event #51: Turbo – High Roller – Win the Button. With over USD 100,000 in live earnings and one prior cash earlier in the series, Zhu pushed further this time, outlasting a 100-entry field to lift the trophy and secure KRW 33,110,000 (~USD 23,650).
Fellow countryman Zhanyu He took the runner-up spot, adding KRW 22,810,000 (~USD 16,293) to his tally, while Singapore’s Bao Qiang Ho made another deep run in Jeju to complete the podium with a third-place payout of KRW 14,970,000 (~USD 10,693).

Tran Completes Hat-Trick in Event #52: Turbo – PL Drawmaha 2-7
Tran makes it three in three days, with four APT titles now to his name
Austria’s Hanh Tran continued to stamp his authority on APT Jeju 2025 by winning Event #52: Turbo – PL Drawmaha 2-7, completing a streak of three titles in three days. A respected pro with more than USD 600,000 in live earnings, Tran further cemented his reputation as a mixed-game specialist, claiming his fourth career APT title, all of which have come in non-Hold’em formats. His latest win added KRW 6,580,816 (~USD 4,727) to his festival tally.
Russia’s Denis Nesterenko earned the runner-up finish and KRW 4,760,000 (~USD 3,419), while Japan’s Akihide Shimizu took third place for KRW 3,030,000 (~USD 2,176).
With this victory, Tran is building a strong case as the standout player of the series so far.

A professional player with more than USD 150,000 in live earnings, Zheng added a major victory to his résumé along with a payout of KRW 13,642,112 (~USD 9,744).
Fellow Chinese player Liying Su earned the runner-up finish for KRW 9,200,000 (~USD 6,571), while Yuan Sun completed the all-Chinese podium by taking third place and KRW 5,980,000 (~USD 4,271).

Thailand’s Wandet Wachirasereechai celebrated a poker career-first in Event #54: Super Hyper Turbo – Bomb Pot, converting his first-ever live cash into a championship run. The Thai amateur overcame a 49-entry field in the fast-paced bomb pot format to claim his first APT title along with a payout of KRW 4,321,097 (~USD 3,087).
China’s Bin Li finished as runner-up, earning KRW 3,120,000 (~USD 2,229), while compatriot Wei Su rounded out the podium with KRW 1,990,000 (~USD 1,421).
