INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 10, 2026 – Running August 7–16 in partnership with Paradise Group, Day 4 of APT Incheon 2026 (#APTIncheon2026) saw the topflight tournament action continue.

Highlights included the second starting flight of the KRW 2.5 million (~USD 1,700) buy-in, KRW 1.5 billion guaranteed APT Main Event, and the electrifying final day of the KRW 15 million (~USD 10,600) APT Super High Roller, as well as Day 1 of the KRW 4.5 million (~USD 3,200) High Roller Ultra Stack.

In addition, a further 12 side events filled the tournament tables of the palatial Paradise City Casino Resort including the KRW 1 million (~USD 720) NL Hold’em Freezeout, two Women’s Events (one of which was a Heads Up tournament), and an eclectic selection of Omaha, draw, and mixed games – you can read more about the action in these exciting events in the Day 4 side event press release.

Singapore’s Shawn Lee Tops APT Incheon 2026 Main Event Flight B to Take Overall Lead

Singapore’s Shawn Lee has claimed the current overall chip lead of the APT Main Event following the second of four live starting flights at Paradise City Casino Resort.

Lee accumulated 329,000 chips on Flight B, edging past Flight A leader Takayuki Akamatsu (320,000) to take the top spot overall. Hong Kong’s Ka Lok Lam (304,900) and Japan’s Shota Nakanishi (287,000) rounded out the top three stacks of the flight.

Flight B attracted 222 entries (187 unique) for the KRW 2.5 million (~USD 1,700) buy-in tournament, with 91 players surviving the ten levels of play. Combined with Flight A and the 282 OnLive entrants from Natural8, the overall field stands at 669 entries heading into the final two qualifying flights.

APT MAIN EVENT FLIGHT B TOP TEN STACKS

Australia’s John Perry finished fifth in the Flight B counts with 228,300. Other notable players securing Day 2 berths include Natural8 Ambassador Nevan Chang (98,100), four-time APT champion Hal Rotholz (89,000), Thailand’s Kiwanont Sukhum (73,400), former APT Super High Roller winner Phanlert Sukonthachartnant (56,200), and WSOP bracelet winner Webster Lim (39,300).

Among those eliminated before the final bag-and-tag were APT Phu Quoc Super High Roller winner Trung Quan Nguyen, APT Championship Women’s Event champion Jennifer Cassell, Natural8 Ambassador Hua Wei Lin, and Australian pro Aaron Lim.

The final two live starting flights take place on Tuesday, August 11, with Flight C beginning at 11am (KST) followed by the turbo Flight D at 6pm (KST). All surviving players will combine for Day 2 on Wednesday, August 12 with late registration remaining open until the end of level 11 at 12:15pm local time.

Malaysia’s Jeremy Chan Claims Tames Pewter Lion; Wins APT Super High Roller for KRW 236M (~USD 169K)

Jeremy Chan scores maiden APT title and second-largest career cash with Super High Roller victory

Malaysia’s Jeremy Chan has become the APT’s latest successful big game hunter, overcoming the 58-entry (48 unique) APT Super High Roller field to tame the coveted Pewter Lion and claim the lion’s share of the KRW 801,705,000 (~USD 575,525) prize pool.

Chan battled back from behind to overcome the Netherlands’ Michel Molenaar in a gruelling back-and-forth 44-hand heads-up battle spanning close to three 40-minute levels to claim his maiden major title and KRW 236,325,000 (~USD 169,650) top prize—the second largest of his career—in addition to a USD 10,000 (~KRW 13.93M) seat to November’s APT Championship Main Event.

What makes this victory all the sweeter for Chan is the fact he finished runner-up in this very tournament just 12 months prior, and has had a further four runner-up results in the last three months. This win brings Chan’s live tournament winnings over the USD 1 million threshold, moving him up two places to #24 on the Malaysia All-Time Money List.

“It was funny actually, last year since I got second I went on a pretty big downswing and I was really asking myself, did I really get lucky last year that I finished second?” Chan said candidly in his post match interview.

“I’m like, what am I actually doing? Do I really know what I'm doing? I'm just reviewing every day. And then, you know, after watching some coaching I'm like ‘I don't think I'm doing too bad.' You just have to think that you're good enough and you just gotta believe in yourself. That's the most important thing, I think,” Chan ruminated.

Michel Molenaar and Jeremy Chan battle heads up

Molenaar, who was hunting his first APT signature Mega Lion trophy and fourth tour title had to settle for second place and the KRW 170,950,000 (~USD 122,720) runner-up prize.

Rounding out the podium in third place was China’s Peng Chen, who locked up KRW 110,290,000 (~USD 79,175) to record his seventh career APT final table appearance and ninth tour cash.

While Natural8 Ambassador Chih Wei Fan was unable to bag a fourth career APT title, the Taiwanese player banked KRW 83,500,000 (~USD 59,940) for his 4th place finish and 14th APT final table appearance.

Former APT High Roller champion Martin Sedlak, who was making his Super High Roller final table debut, managed a fifth place finish, which was good for KRW 64,600,000 (~USD 46,375).

Fan’s fellow Natural8 Ambassador Nevan Chang, making an impressive 4th APT Super High Roller final table showing, earned KRW 50,420,000 (~USD 36,195) for sixth place.

Japan’s Ogawa Reoma and Yuya Arito rounded out the last of the paying positions in 7th and 8th respectively. Reoma’s score was 14.6 times his entire previous career earnings combined (a 1,365% increase), taking his total live winnings from USD 1,968 to USD 30,813.

Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic Bags Big in 222-Entry High Roller Ultra Stack

Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic bagged up a massive 125 big blind stack to summit the counts

Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic leads the way in the KRW 4.5 million (~USD 3,200) High Roller Ultra Stack after bagging a colossal 1,511,000 (125 big blind) stack on Day 1.

The event attracted a 222-entry field (159 unique), generating a KRW 863,136,000 (~USD 619,625) prize pool.

A top prize of KRW 179,636,000 (~USD 128,955) awaits the champion, along with an added USD 10,000 (~KRW 13.93M) seat to November’s APT Championship Main Event.

After eleven 50-minute levels, and an additional two 40-minute levels it was Smiljkovic sitting atop the counts, closely followed by China’s Kunlei Xie (1,360,000) and Yuan Lei (1,073,000), with the top ten stacks as follows:

A stacked lineup of current and former APT champions punched their tickets to the Final Day, including APT Manila 2024 High Roller champion Daniel Neilson (824,000), APT Taipei 2023 High Roller winner Phachara Wongwichit (380,000), APT Jeju Classic Main Event champion William Li (373,000), APT All Time Money List leader Joseph Cheong (333,000), newly crowned APT Super High Roller champion Jeremy Chan (276,000), and APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024 High Roller champion Martin Sedlak (237,000).

Other notables advancing include Hong Kong’s Hon Cheong “Ivan” Lee (790,000), Australia’s Yita Choong (547,000), Ireland’s Ryan Plant (392,000), Australia’s Dylan Foster (285,000) and Aaron Lim (242,000), Russia’s Maxim Sorokin (182,000), and Natural8 Ambassador Nevan Chang (108,000).
