TAIPEI, TAIWAN, May 1, 2026– The Labour Day Monsterstack that was added recently by the Tour looks set to be one of the biggest side events the tournament has ever run with 1000 entries broken after registration for Flight C at Asia Poker Arena had ended. The tournament is also well on its way to break the TWD 6 million guarantee.

Monsterstack Set for Huge Finish as Mini Main Event Takes Shape

Day 10 of APT Taipei 2026 saw the Labour Day Monsterstack continue its strong run, with total entries climbing to 1,348 following the completion of Flights C and D. With two more flights still to play, the event remains firmly on track to surpass the 2,000-entry mark, reinforcing its position as one of the most popular value tournaments on the schedule.

Adding to the action is the Mini Main Event, which mirrors the structure of the Main Event but with shorter blind levels and a two-day format. The event will also award the top two finishers with a APT Championship 2026 Main Event ticket. The event has already drawn significant interest, building a prize pool of TWD 39,968,640 (~USD 1,276,950) from a total of 1,542 entries, surpassing the TWD 25 million guarantee. 217 survivors will have a min cash of TWD 47,200 (~USD 1,510) locked up tomorrow, with TWD 6,988,540 (~USD 223,275) up top awaiting the winner.

In Flight A, Taiwan’s Yun Sheng Liu set the early benchmark, bagging 1,278,000 chips to claim the chip lead heading into the later stages. Close behind him is South Korea’s Jisoo Ha with 1,265,000 chips, while the United States’ Han Ming Feng rounds out the top three stacks with 1,200,000 chips, keeping the race tightly contested after the opening flight.

Flight B saw South Korea’s Jeonghyeon Kim take the overall chip lead with 1,422,000, putting together one of the strongest stacks across the opening flights. He is followed by the Philippines’ Vamerdino Magsakay with 1,107,000 chips, while Singapore’s Jun Yi Ho completes the top three with 815,000 chips, setting up another competitive group advancing to the next stage.

Over in Flight C, Taiwan’s Po Hao Liao leads the way with 730,000 chips, followed by Vietnam’s Tran Anh Tuan Le with 673,000, while Taiwan’s Ming Che Yang rounds out the top three with 533,000 chips.

Meanwhile, the APT Main Event has reached its climax, with the final table now set. Hong Kong’s Chun Shing Lau leads the way with a commanding 33,275,000 chips — holding more than a third of all chips in play and entering the final table as the overwhelming chip leader. Among the challengers are Australia’s Joshua McCully, who sits third in chips with 8,125,000, and China’s Tony Ren Lin, who enters as one of the shorter stacks with 5,925,000 and will need to mount a comeback if he is to secure a second Mega Lion title.

Molenaar Doubles Up with Baby Superstar Challenge Victory

Event #136: Baby Superstar Challenge at APT Taipei 2026 had a stacked field of elite and seasoned contenders battling it out for one of the festival’s most coveted high roller titles.

Emerging victorious was the Netherlands’ Michel Johannes Maria Molenaar, who captured his second APT title along with TWD 3,170,520 (USD 101,294). The accomplished pro, with over USD 2 million in live earnings, continues his stellar run in Taipei, securing his second trophy of the series after previously taking down Event #31: Single Day High Roller.

Thailand’s Nattawat Soontanont put in another strong performance, coming close to capturing his third APT title before settling for second place and TWD 2,254,500 (USD 72,028). Australia’s Daniel Neilson, a former APT High Roller champion who also finished fourth in the Superstar Challenge earlier this series, rounded out the podium in third place, earning TWD 1,476,000 (USD 47,156) while narrowly missing out on his third APT title.

The final table was flush with recognisable names. USA’s Ethan ‘Rampage’ Yau continued his impressive run in Taipei with yet another high roller final table appearance, finishing sixth for TWD 703,500 (USD 22,475). Nevan Chang also added another cash to his series tally, finishing eighth for TWD 432,500 (USD 13,817).
