The final flight of the APT Jeju Classic 2026 Main Event concluded with a total of 209 entries (169 unique) ponying up the KRW 2.3 million (~USD 1,500) buy-in to improve the prize pool to KRW 2,964,902,400 (~USD 2 million), crushing the original KRW 2.2 billion guarantee. However, late registration is still open on Day 2 and the total prize pool will certainly get even juicier.

So far the total number of entries sits at 1,492 and is currently the second largest field for an APT Main Event in Korean soil. Should the Day 2 late registration bring 202 more entries, then this edition could be making history.

With the conclusion of ten levels of play, there were only 87 players who kept their chips to advance to tomorrow's Day 2 leg. Leading the pack was Yasuhiro Yamamoto of Japan with 331,000 chips. Yamamoto has only one recorded APT cash, which came in the APT Incheon 2025 Main Event, where he placed 160th. Hopefully, his big stack advantage can bring him an even better result.

Yamamoto jumped to an early lead at level 4 when he topped a four-way all-in , making a straight.

Coming in with the second largest chips is Vietnam's Do Quang Trinh with 257,000. With over USD 330,000 in total live earnings, Trinh's biggest APT cash was for over USD 31,000 as runner-up in the Single Day High Roller during APT Summer Series Da Nang 2023.

Third in chips right behind Trinh is Jongwon Yoon of Vanuatu with 256,600 chips. Yoon's biggest career cash came from an Aussie Millions Main Event, where he placed 42nd for over USD 18,000. He has yet to cash in an APT event.

There were a lot of big names who booked a seat from the last flight, including two-time Main Event champion Lester Edoc of the Philippines, recent APT Super High Roller and APT Superstar Challenge winner Tony Ren Lin of China, former APT Super High Roller champion Quang Minh Nguyen of Vietnam, recent APT Mystery Bounty Hunter champion Yuan Shu Zhou of China plus Natural8 Ambassadors Chih Wei Fan, Kitty Kuo and Hua We Lin.

Zhou bagged 176,700, while Edoc finished with 128,000 chips. Fan advances with 106,700 and Lin returns to Day 2 with 96,300. The other notables, unfortunately, failed to find a bag.

Some of the evening's highlights include a double knockout by Jin Ze Zhang with quads. That hand saw Zhang climb up the chip leader board. However, he only advanced with a stack of 47,600 at the end of the night.

Lin immediately jumped in the Main Event after winning the APT Superstar Challenge and continued his momentum with a quick double-up, cracking queens.

Thanh Loung Dang of Vietnam also made some noise with a set of ladies against Alfie Adam of the United Kingdom. Dang's huge scoop would propel him up the leaderboard, where he would end the night with a stack of 212,300.

Po Lam Lun of Hong Kong was eliminated early, but his second bullet had better prospects. One of his better hands was a massive scoop against Aleksi Novoselov that helped him end the night with 197,000 chips - the sixth largest of the flight.

The pot was around 22,000 on a board of 2 A Q 4 . Action was on Siwei Yu, who was heads-up against Daming Kang.

Yu, sitting opposite Kang, stood up, trying to look over Kang's arms at his stack. Kang was gracious enough to show exactly how much he had behind - 20,600. Yu sat back down and bet 20,000 forcing Kang to go all-in. Kang obliged by jamming his short stack in the middle of the table.

Daming Kang: A 6

Siwei Yu: Q Q

Kang let out a groan of frustration upon seing Yu's queens, which had caught a set on the flop. He was still a bit hopeful as he had additional outs with a flush draw.

Unfortunately, his outs didn't drop with the river T . Kang left the tournament a few hands before the day ended while Yu looked relieved to have chipped up heading into Day 2.

Kyota Henzan opened in middle position to 3,000 and got a three-bet from Toshio Mitsuoka to 8,000. In the small blind, Boon Seng Ang made it 25,000 pushing Henzan out. Mitsuoka called to see a flop.

The flop dropped 3 7 9 . Ang wasted no time in shoving all his chips in, worth 23,000. Mitsuoka called, putting Ang in jeopardy.

Boon Seng Ang: K K

Toshio Mitsuoka: Q Q

Ang was ahead with his kings leaving Mitsuoka very little wiggle room to flip the script around. The turn 6 and river 2 was dealt giving Ang a much-needed double up nearing the end of the day.

Leonard Ng opened to 2,500 under the gun and got a three-bet from Bowen Xue on the button to 8,500. Not to be outdone, Ng four-bet to 27,500 sending Xue to the tank.

After some time considering his options he shoved all-in for 75,400. Covered, Ng made the call.

Leonard Ng: A K

Bowen Xue: K K

It was a classic battle between big slick and the cowboys. It did not go smoothly for Ng when the dealer flopped Q 8 J . Ng's outs increased and he prayed that one of them would hit the board.

The 4 turn was peeled followed by 8 . Ng left the tournament floor as Xue scooped the pot.

Adam turned over J J for a pair of jacks while Dang flipped over Q Q for a set of queens.

Action was picked up on a pot of around 60,000 beside a K 8 7 A 6 board. Yuchao Yu was all-in for 9,400 and Xiaqing Ji was struggling to decide what to do.

He counted his chips once and it amounted to around 15,400. He looked at the board and Yu, then counted his chips again and it was still 15,400. Just for safety, he looked at his chips again to make sure everything was in order.

Shaking his head, he finally let go of the hand and starting chatting with Yu in their native language as the dealer pushed the hefty pot in Yu's direction.

Novoselov Flushes Ishuzu Out

Action was on Aleksi Novoselov who was considering whether to call Tetsuma Ishuzu's all-in for 21,200. After a few seconds of consideration and a lot of muttering to himself, he made the call putting Ishuzu's run on the line.

Tetsuma Ishuzu: A Q

Aleksi Novoselov: K 8

Ishuzu was ahead with ace-high but the flop T 2 4 gave Novoselov a flush draw that may potentially change the tides.

The turn A was the ace Ishuzu was hoping for but not the suit he was eager to see as it completed Novoselov's flush.

Novoselov seemed apologetic as Ishuzu prepared to leave the table as the dealer completed the board with K
