Thi Xoa Nguyen completed from the small blind and Gerald Karlic raised to 30,000 from the big blind. Nguyen limp-raised to 125,000, and after a few moments Karlic jammed, covering Nguyen. With 200,000 or so left in her stack, Nguyen mulled it over before making the call for her tournament life.

Nguyen started the day as the chip leader, and now had one foot out the door as she was in awful shape against the bullets of Karlic.

Nguyen hit a queen on the Q 4 7 flop to give her a glimmer of hope, but the A turn squashed all of that as Karlic hit top set.
