INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 7, 2026 – Welcome to the third series of the Asian Poker Tour’s 20-Year Anniversary season as Asia’s premier poker tour returns to Incheon for the APT Incheon 2026—#APTIncheon2026—which marks the tour’s 18th visit to South Korea, 7th visit to Incheon, and is the 127th festival in APT history.
Running in partnership with Paradise Group at the tournament tables of the palatial Paradise City Casino Resort from August 7-16, the ten-day festival is headlined by the KRW 2.5 million (~USD 1,700) buy-in APT Main Event which plays out from Sunday, August 9 to Saturday, August 15 and carries an impressive KRW 1.5 billion (~USD 1 million) guarantee.
The tour’s two other signature Lion Trophy events —the KRW 15 million (~USD 10,600) buy-in APT Super High Roller and the KRW 5 million (~USD 3,500) buy-in APT High Roller—both come with KRW 500 million (~USD 354,000) guarantees.
Boasting an action-packed 106 tournaments on the schedule with buy-ins ranging from KRW 200,000 (~USD 140) to KRW 35 million (~USD 24,800) across 64 Hold’em tournaments (including 30 high roller events and 9 women’s events), 19 Omaha events, 15 stud and mixed game events, and 8 draw events, the festival sports over KRW 4 billion (~USD 2.7 million) in prize pool guarantees.
Win APT Championship 2026 Seats
In addition to the mouth-watering guarantees, the festival also offers players a chance to claim seats for the tour's season-ending showpiece USD 5M GTD APT Championship 2026 (APTC) Main Event running in Taipei in November.

Korea National Cup Sets Tour-Stop Record; Former Main Event Champion Ivan Govorov Leads
Former Main Event champion Ivan Govorov is hunting a second career APT title in the Korea National Cup
The Korea National Cup kickstarted the festival action in style, setting a new tour-stop record for the event, attracting 709 entries from 28 different nations and generating a KRW 409,459,411 (~USD 290,400) prize pool—surpassing the tournament's 2025 iteration in both metrics.
Playing out over two days from Friday, August 7 to Saturday August 8, the KRW 700,000 (~USD 500) buy-in tournament sees players compete over a choice of three opening flights on Friday.
With the top 14 percent of each respective flights making it through to the Final Day and a place in the paying positions, a total of 101 players will be returning to duke it out for the trophy, title, and the KRW 78,109,411 (~USD 55,400) top prize, with all remaining survivors guaranteed a payout of at least KRW 1,110,000 (~USD 790).

The Flight A action kickstarted the festival action at 11am local time (KST) drawing 236 initial entries who fought it out at the felt over twenty 25-minute levels, with 34 players bagging up chips and locking up a spot in the Final Day.
Thailand’s Jeerasak Khumchanthuek topped the opening flight of the Korea National Cup
It was Thailand’s Jeerasak Khumchanthuek sitting atop the Flight A chip counts at the conclusion of play, bagging up a stack of 626,000 with which to make his play for the title when the action resumes at 11:15am KST on Saturday, August 8, putting him second in the overall pecking order.
Khumchanthuek was one of two players to crack the half a million-chip threshold on the opening flight, with the other being Mongolia’s Tuguldur Gantumur who bagged the second largest Flight A stack of 552,000.
Japan’s Haruna Matsumoto concluded the Flight A action with the third largest stack of 438,000 and will return as the top ranked female player sitting 8th in the overall chip counts when the Final Day action resumes.

The KRW 200 million (~USD 141,000) guarantee was reached and breached on Flight B, which proved the most popular of the three flights, attracting 307 entries with 43 players surviving the flight to make it through to the Final Day after battling over twenty 20-minute levels.
The man topping the Flight B chip counts is no stranger to success on the APT circuit with APT Manila Classic 2025 Main Event champion Ivan Govorov dominating a great deal of the action to bag a stack of 827,000, giving the Russian player the overall chip lead coming into the Final Day.
The USA’s Frank Zhang was the only other Flight B player to finish on over half a million in chips and will return for the Final Day 4th in the overall chip counts with a stack of 600,000. Thailand’s Anucha Muandech rounded out the top three Flight B stacks, finishing the evening with 480,000.

China’s Yutao Zheng bagged biggest on Flight B to return third in the Final Day chip counts
Just 24 of the 166 Flight C entries found a chip bag awaiting them at the end of the evening’s play, with China’s Yutao Zheng closing out the twenty-one 15-minute levels played with a stack of 610,000 – putting him 3rd in the overall chip counts.
Zhang was the only Flight C player to bag over half a million in chips, with Japan’s Ryouma Yamanaka (422,000), and Austria’s Phuong Ngoc Nguyen (343,000) rounding out the top three stacks.
