James Chen

A rare appearance on home soil, Taiwan’s top-ranked player James Chen has taken his seat in the field. Over the past decade, Chen has become one of Asia’s most recognized poker figures, earning deep runs and major titles across Macau and Australia. His international resume expanded even further in 2019 when he claimed his first WSOP bracelet in Europe.

In recent years, Chen has been a consistent presence in the WSOP high rollers events in Las Vegas, yet he continues to return home for key stops on the Asian Poker Tour. The APTC Main Event was one opportunity he wasn’t about to miss, especially with the slow structure that he stated he prefers.
