James Mendoza opened to 80,000 under the gun and, after action folded around Khoa Anh Ngo in the big blind called.

The dealer fanned out J 2 4 . Ngo check-called Mendoza's continuation bet of 60,000 to see the next card.

The same thing happened on the 8 turn, with Ngo check-calling Mendoza's 155,000 bet.

Both players knuckled the river 5 . Ngo tabled 4 3 and Mendoza turned over T T .

Mingcong Chen

Mingcong Chen was among those who have recently busted from the Super High Roller event this morning, along with Michel Molenaar.

Tanupat Punjarojanakul also found himself in a sticky spot after he faced an open from Fabian Gumz in an early position. Punjarojanakul opted to push his last handful of big blinds in, from the big blind, and Gumz didn't take long to make the call.

Punjarojanakul was looking to hold, but with the 4 A 6 flop going Gumz way, there was little hope for coming back. A 9 turn and T river also saw to the elimination of Punjarojanakul, leaving the field to shorten to 18 within the first level of the day.

Yee Yan Wen

Action was picked up with Heigor Seibel, at risk and all-in for 350,000 against Yee Yan Wen.

It was a coin flip Seibel was hoping to win. But the flop A J K gave Wen a two-pair dashing Seibel's hope for a double up. Only a miracle could save him.

No divine intervention came however, and when the dealer peeled a J turn and a 3 river, Seibel wished all good luck and left the table as Wen scooped the pot.

Wouter Beltz

Short-stacked, Wouter Beltz open-shoved for 245,000 under the gun and only got a caller in small blind Yita Choong.

Behind, Beltz took his phone out to record the hand when the dealer flopped 7 3 3 . Choong's lead was sealed when the A fell on the turn, giving him a two-pair.

And with another 3 on the river, Choong improved to a full house, eliminating Beltz from the tournament.

Yoko Sasaki

Yoki Sasaki opened from under the gun for 75,000. Action went to Johan Pedersen in middle position, who called, and James Mendoza defended his big blind.

The J T 2 flop saw Mendoza check, Sasaki continued for 75,000 and Pedersen snap-called. Mendoza also paid to see the 3 turn and checked again to Sasaki.

Sasaki moved all-in for her last 475,000 and it didn't take long for Pedersen to flick in a chip and make the call. Mendoza mucked, leaving the pair to go heads up to showdown.

Johan Pedersen: A J

Pedersen had flopped top pair, with Sasaki left hunting for the king. There was no luck on the 5 river and she hit the rail with just three tables remaining.

In one of the first hands of the day, Yoko Sasaki opened to 60,000 from the hijack and Yuhan Liu three-bet jammed for his remaining 300,000 from the cutoff. Yita Choong called and covered Liu on the button, and Sasaki quickly mucked her hand.

Liu was ahead, and held on the K 8 J flop. There was a sweat of the straight draw for Choong and the spade flush, but the 2 turn didn't change the standings.

The devestating T river saw the striaght come in for Choong and Liu was the first to leave in the second day of the tournament.

Zhouqun Zhang

Christian Harder opened with a minimum raise in cutoff to be called by big blind Zhouqun Zhang, to see what the community cards would bring.

The dealer fanned out J K 9 . Zhang check-called Harder's continuation bet of 60,000 - taking them to the turn.

Another K dropped on the turn which both players checked.

On the river 3 , Zhang led out with 55,000 which was enough to take down the pot.

Cards are back in the air for the 26 players returning to the Super High Roller Event this morning.

Super High Roller Trophy

The APT Jeju 2025 Super High Roller kicks back off today at 11:15 AM local time here in Casino Jeju. With 26 players returning to battle for the crown, a full day of action is expected to get underway.

A total of 99 entries (67 unique) made up the KRW 1,368,427,500 (~USD 1,021,215) total prize pool yesterday, so it didn’t take long for this event to smash the KRW 500,000 guarantee, as it had more than doubled the target by early afternoon. When late registration ended, the event stood as the second-richest APT Super High Roller ever held in Korea, surpassing last year's KRW 1,340,782,500 (~USD 950,910) total, which saw 97 entries.

A number of big-name players returned for one of the first major events on this series schedule to battle it out for the top prize of KRW 355,667,500 (~USD 265,425), along with the exciting opportunity to win their way into the APT Championship Main Event.

For those who made it through a full day of play yesterday, it certainly won’t be their first rodeo, as the remaining field boasts an impressive combined record.

Joseph Cheong

Among the notable big-name players still standing are multi-APT trophy holder Joseph Cheong (1,025,000), previous APT Main Event champion Abraham Ceesvin (950,000), and newcomer high roller Yoko Sasaki (565,000).

It is Teeraphat Rangkatekarn who leads the way this morning when action resumes, holding nearly double the chip stack of Calvin Lee, who returns second on the leaderboard.

Top Ten Chip Counts

Others who return but sit lower in the rankings, and are in need of building some momentum are Qing Gao (255,000), Tanupat Punjarojanakul (125,000), and Haruhiko Shinohara (15,000), who will return with less than one big blind.

Although 26 players managed to bag up at the end of Day 1, they will return this morning with no guarantee of reaching the money, as only the top 13 players will see a minimum cash payout of KRW 27,780,000 (~USD 20,730).
