Ngo Khoa Anh

Ngo Khoa Anh opened to 100,000 with A J from under the gun and Teeraphat Rangkatekarn defended his T 8 from the big blind.

Both hit the J T 7 flop, with Anh looking at top pair, and Rangkatekarn picking up middle pair and straight draw outs.

Rangkatekarn check-jammed after Anh bet 90,000, covering Anh's remaining 560,000 stack. Anh didn't take too long to call, putting himself at risk of elimination and the pair were left to flip their cards.

Anh was ahead, and things stayed that way on the 3 turn.

It was a brutal 8 river for Anh as Rangkatekarn hit his straight, sending him to the rail.

In early position Yee Yan Wen opened to 80,000. Action folded around to the big blind and made the call.

The flop came J K K . After action passed to him, Wen continued with the minimum 45,000 which Mendoza called.

Both players tapped the 5 turn.

With the board wet, Mendoza led out with 205,000 on the T making Wen fold his hand.

Joseph Cheong opened A J from middle position and Teeraphat Rangkatekarn three-bet to 250,000 with 2 2 from the cutoff.

Cheong topped up to see the K 4 K flop and he checked to Rangkatekarn, who also checked behind.

A 7 was turned and both opted to check again. The 7 completed the board and Cheong checked. Rangkatekarn bet out 255,000, which saw Cheong swiftly muck.

Han Shao open-jammed for his last 435,000 on the button and was called by Dillon Najor in the big blind, putting Shao at risk.

Shao needed to hit to stay alive but the K K 3 flop saw Najor pick up trips.

The 9 turn and 8 river ended Shao's run in the Super High Roller event, leaving just 16 players to battle it out.

Teeraphat Rangkatekarn kicked off the action by opening to 80,000 on the button with A 8 . Han Shao called with J 8 from the small blind and Zhang Zhuoquin defended his A 8 in the big blind.

The 9 T 5 flop saw action check to Rangkatekarn, who had flopped the flush and backdoor straight draw. Rangkatekarn bet 100,000 and only Shao called.

A K turn stalled the action and both checked to see the T river.

Shao paused before making a 260,000 river bet, and Rangkatekarn took some time before calling Shao's bluff and taking down the pot with his Ace high.

Calvin Lee looked down at A 7 and opened to 60,000 from under the gun and Teeraphat Rangkatekarn, who was sitting to his direct left, called with J J .

The 9 2 T flop saw Lee bet 100,000 and Rangkatekarn called, taking the pair to the 4 turn.

Lee bet out 230,000 and Rangkatekarn made another quick call.

A J was placed on the river, giving Lee the nut flush, but it also saw Rangkatekarn pick up the set of jacks. Rangkatekarn took a particularly long look at the river and leaned over to check the board, before Lee bet out 175,000.

Rangkatekarn took a little longer before making the call, passing the pot to Lee.

James Mendoza opened to 80,000 under the gun and, after action folded around Khoa Anh Ngo in the big blind called.

The dealer fanned out J 2 4 . Ngo check-called Mendoza's continuation bet of 60,000 to see the next card.

The same thing happened on the 8 turn, with Ngo check-calling Mendoza's 155,000 bet.

Both players knuckled the river 5 . Ngo tabled 4 3 and Mendoza turned over T T .

Mingcong Chen

Mingcong Chen was among those who have recently busted from the Super High Roller event this morning, along with Michel Molenaar.

Tanupat Punjarojanakul also found himself in a sticky spot after he faced an open from Fabian Gumz in an early position. Punjarojanakul opted to push his last handful of big blinds in, from the big blind, and Gumz didn't take long to make the call.

Punjarojanakul was looking to hold, but with the 4 A 6 flop going Gumz way, there was little hope for coming back. A 9 turn and T river also saw to the elimination of Punjarojanakul, leaving the field to shorten to 18 within the first level of the day.

Yee Yan Wen

Action was picked up with Heigor Seibel, at risk and all-in for 350,000 against Yee Yan Wen.

It was a coin flip Seibel was hoping to win. But the flop A J K gave Wen a two-pair dashing Seibel's hope for a double up. Only a miracle could save him.

No divine intervention came however, and when the dealer peeled a J turn and a 3 river, Seibel wished all good luck and left the table as Wen scooped the pot.
