Minh Thang Tran
When I arrived, Minh Thang Tran was on the button with the all-in triangle in front of him and a stack of around 70,000 pushed forward.
Action was on small blind Kaiwen Wen, who was staring at a board of Q T K 4 2 and a pot of around 45,000 and contemplating his move.
Kunal Patni - on the same table - was standing and called me over.
"I can give you the action if you want."
I hesitated, but eventually he couldn't help himself and just had to blurt it out real fast - "This guy opened.. this guy called... and so on...." and I just took it all in and remembered it, still focused on the action.
Patni saw that I wasn't writing anything down and jokingly said, "That's it! I don't want to help you anymore. Retired fish retires."
After Wen finally folded, I told Retired Fish - I rememebered what you said. I recalled it to him.
John Matsuda opened. Tran called. Wen three bet. Matsuda folded and Tran called.
Flop came. Wen continued and Tran raised. Wen called.
Turn went check check. River Wen checked and Tran jammed.
And Wen folded.
Patni was impressed.
