APT INCHEON 2025 SCHEDULE | OFFICIAL RESULTS | PLAYER LISTS | IMAGES | WINNERS

INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 4, 2025 – Running in partnership with Paradise Group at the tournament tables of the palatial Paradise City resort the fourth day of the 10-day APT Incheon is hitting its straps.

There were fourteen tournaments in action of the course of the day’s play showcasing an eclectic mix of the various forms of poker — including satellites and promotional events — with eight of these crowning new APT champions.

Of course, the highlight of the day was the second opening Flight B of the Main Event which attracted a 236-strong field which you can read about below.

Outside of that, the biggest draw of the day was the KRW 1M (~USD 720) Event #32 NL Hold’em Freezeout which attracted a field of 218 poker enthusiasts – you can read all about this in the Day 4 side event press release.

The tours’ dedicated high roller player base was spoilt for choice with two high roller tournaments running.

Day 1 of the two-day KRW 35M (~USD 25,125) Superstar Challenge came with the largest buy-in on the schedule and in addition to the nine-figure KRW (six-figure USD) top prize, also awards the eventual champion a USD 10,000 seat in the APT Championship Main Event running in Taipei, Taiwan in November – more on this further down.

Those who found that too rich piled into Day 1 of the two-day KRW 4.5M Event #31 High Roller – Ultra Stack, which attracted a healthy field of 197 entries (140 unique) and you can read about who ran the hottest in the Day 4 side event press release.

Main Event Flight B

The second of the four scheduled KRW 2.5M (~USD 1,795) Main Event flights drew 236 entries (196 unique) with players competing over ten levels in total – six 45-minute levels, and a further four 60-minute levels.

Combined with the 250 Flight A entries and the 206 OnLive Natural8 entries that brings the field up to 692 entries in total, with two flights remaining.

While none of the players came close to matching Flight A front runner Chi Hsiang Chiu’s stack of 540,000, there were more survivors than the previous flight with 99 players finding a chip bag at the conclusion of the nine and a half hours and ten levels played.

It was Dixon Pang perched at the top of the chip pantheon when the tournament clock ticked into the red and the Singaporean player will be hoping to spin his 225,100 stack up into a maiden tournament title and make his first live APT cash one to remember.

Pang was aided in his rise to the top of the leader board in a huge cooler of a hand against Japan’s Shotaro Fukutomi on the last level played that saw the latter flop middle pair and the nut flush draw with ace ten of diamonds and Pang flop the nut straight with blockers to Fukutomi’s flush, claiming a monster pot when the diamonds failed to materialise.

Junjie He bagged the second-largest stack of 217,300 and the Chinese player will be hoping to follow up his final table showing in the opening Korea National Cup with another deep run this series.

Yu-Chien Kung (214,600) will be hoping to follow up his deep run in the start of the years’ APT Manila 2025 Main Event where he came in 42nd place, with the Taiwanese player rounding out the top three stacks, with APT Taipei 2025 High Roller champion Nguyen Trung Quan also bagging a top ten stack:

Calvin Lee Leads Final Six in Superstar Challenge

APTINC0825_G_#29_SSC_D1_Chip Leader-67.jpg The USA’s Calvin Lee is looking to claim his second APT title in the Superstar Challenge

Boasting the biggest buy-in on the schedule and regularly attracting the best of the best, the KRW 35M (~USD 25,125) Superstar Challenge is one of the tours’ elite events and this edition is no exception.

The action kicked off at 11:15am (KST) with nine eager competitors, including two-time former Superstar Challenge champion and APT All-time Money List #1 Joseph Cheong, with the field increasing incrementally as play progressed.

By the time registration closed at 7:35pm the field had reached 24 entries (18 unique), generating a sizable KRW 781,670,000 (~USD 561,140) prize pool – the second largest of the festival to-date just behind the APT Super High Roller, with the eventual winner taking away a KRW 328,300,000 (~USD 235,680) top prize.

In addition to two-time champion Cheong, other notables in the running included former APT High Roller champions Stanley Weng, and Thanisorn Saelor, former APT Main Event champion Punnat Punsri, and Natural8 Ambassador Kannapong ‘Tent’ Thanarattrakul.

However, there was to be no three-peat for Cheong although he came close, exiting at the nine-handed final table on the thirteenth level played.

The only two former APT signature lion trophy champions to make it through to the Final Day were Weng and Saelor, but it was the USA’s Calvin Lee who claimed the honour of the overnight chip lead after the fourteen 40-minute levels played out.

Lee will be returning in the driving seat with a stack of 1,490,000 — valued at 74 big blinds — when play resumes for the Final Day. The US player is no stranger to success on the APT circuit, with his resume already boasting an APT title won back in 2018.

Lee has quite the pedigree, with 10 APT final tables on his resume, five from the old era including a Main Event runner-up finish at APT Seoul 2019, and a further five in the New Era, including a Superstar Challenge 5th place finish at APT Taipei 2025, and a 3rd place APT High Roller finish at the same festival, and he will be hoping to claim a maiden Superstar Challenge title come the Final Day.

However, first he must contend with Stanley Weng, who also has his eye on the prize, and with the second-biggest chip stack of 1,305,000 (65 big blinds) he is very much a contender.

High stakes cash specialist Mikael Andersson is another APT regular in with a shot at fortune and glory, and the Swede will be returning with the third-largest stack of 1,263,000 (63 big blinds).

This being tournament poker, any one of the six finalists is in with a shout, with Saelor (1,155,000), Japan’s Jun Obara (560,000), and Germany’s Fabian Schmidt (270,000) all more than capable of raising the trophy, although as the shortest stack, Schmidt has his work cut out for him.
