Chen An Lin

Taiwan's Chen An Lin topped the leaderboard by bagging up 621,000 chips in Flight A of the Mystery Bounty Hunter - Sponsored by Natural8. There were 381 entries (295 unique) with just 54 spots on offer in Day 2 to those who could survive the storm.

Lin, a well-seasoned professional, used his experience to his advantage as he navigated the field to end the day top of the pack. In the later stages, Lin had eliminated India's Zarvan Tumboli when the two tangled in a blind-on-blind battle with the Taiwanese player coming out on top. Lin has two APT titles to his name and puts himself in a great position to make a run at a third with his performance today.

British player Julian Smith was the only other player to break the half-million chip mark taking through a hard-earned stack of 584,000 chips.

Singapore's Jacky Wang bagged up 281,000 after being one of the bigger stacks throughout most of the day. Earlier in the Flight Wang had eliminated Deepak Bothra after out-flopping the Indian player. He also played a huge pot towards the end of the day but chopped it up with Ting Yao Lin after both players rivered the same straight.

Zhao Feng quietly went about his business and managed to bring through a stack of 167,000 to do battle with on Day 2. The APT Main Event winner will certainly be looking to use his experience to guide his way through the field and toward the final table.

Other notables to make it through were Yong Song Te (412,000), Ryan Gebow (245,000), Yukina Oza (220,000), and Marie Kabaki (149,000).

Chi Yuen Lee

Before we could even start hand-for-hand play the bubble has burst in Flight A of the Mystery Bounty Hunter.

On a board reading A T 8 7 and the pot sitting at roughly 110,000 we saw Adrian Koh shove his stack into the middle and Chi Yuen Lee put his chips forward to put himself at risk of being the bubble boy.

A crowd had formed as tournament staff had directed players not to reveal their hands until play at all other tables had been completed. Once they had finished, it was time to reveal the cards.

Koh tabled Q T for second pair but Lee could only muster up J T for second pair also, but most importantly a worse kicker.

Lee had some chop-outs but nothing would rescue him as the 2 fell on the river giving Koh the pot and leaving Lee in 55th place.

Jacky Wang

A big pot just played out on the river that resulted in two players being all in.

The board read 2 4 8 9 J and Julian Stephen Smith bet 22,000 only to be raised by Ting Yao Lin to 50,000. Jacky Wang then shipped his stack in for around 230,000 which got Smith to fold but sent Lin way into the tank. After using several time bank chips, Lin made the call.

Both players tabled the exact same hand with Lin having T 7 and Wang holding T 7 for rivered straights.

A chop seems fair seeing as we are on the stone cold bubble.

Yan Kay Ip shoved his last 26,000 and was called by Ming-Yi Lin. Chak Lam Tsang jammed his stack behind and Lin called off the remainder of his stack to create a three-way all-in situation.

Ip needed some help for a triple up and Tsang was in a good spot to eliminate two players in the same hand.

The board favored Ip as it ran T K 2 4 8 giving Ip the main pot, and Tsang the side pot. Lin was eliminated bringing us down to 58 players.

Ip had just 3,000 chips a few hands ago and now sits with 90,000 as we approach the direct bubble.

Chen An Lin

Zarvan Tumboli shoved 122,000 chips from the small blind into big blind Chen An Lin. Lin made the call to put Tumboli at risk,

The board wasn't kind to Tumboli as he couldn't improve on the 4 J J 3 8 and Lin was pushed the pot. Lin sits with 470,000 chips now.

Just 63 players remain with 54 spots available in Day 2.

Hua-Wei Lin (a different person to the last hand) put her last 38,000 on the line and was called by Sven Ziwen Wang.

Lin was live but her hopes were crushed on a flop of K 8 8 . The turn and river bought no help and Lin was out as we enter the bubble zone.

Wang up 300,000 and the tournament only has one Huawei Lin remaining.

Huawei Lin shoved the button for 74,000 and was called by big blind Yi Ho Cheng.

Lin A J Cheng K K

Cheng was way out ahead but was drawing rather thin as the flop gave Lin a full house coming A A J . There would be no running quads for Cheng as the board filled out with a 2 and 9 earning Lin the pot.

Hsin Hung Yu

On a flop of J 8 T we saw Yashiro Naoki and Hsin Hung Yu get their stacks in the middle.

Naoki rolled over T T for middle set, with Yu flipped J J whilst fist-bumping the air. Yu was on the brink of winning a pot that would send their stack towards the 400,000 chip mark but it wasn't over yet. Naoki had one out for the win, or running straight cards to chop, otherwise, he would be eliminated.

The turn bought a K and there was no miracle on the river as a 3 peeled off ending Naoki's tournament.

Yu sits with 370,000 chips now.

Into the final stretch now as just 98 players remain with 54 seats on offer for a place in Day 2.

There will be a 15-minute break while the 500 chips are being colored up.

Philipp Juling

Philipp Juling got his short stack of 16,500 into the middle and was called by Yew Fei Lee of Malaysia.

Juling needed to find an ace but would receive no help on a board of 9 5 J 6 T and he was sent packing.
