APT Jeju 2026 Mystery Bounty Champion Daisuke Abiko
The 2026 APT Jeju Mystery Bounty Event was yet another massive event here at the 2026 APT Jeju Series, pulling in 644 entries (343 unique) and generating a massive total prize pool of KRW 667,699,200 (~USD 498,280), smashing the KRW 400 million guarantee.
Japan’s Daisuke Abiko was crowned the champion after a heads-up deal was agreed with China’s Jianfeng Sun. Abiko took home *KRW 59,800,000 (~USD 44,627), an APT Championship ticket for the ATPC Main Event in November, worth USD 10,000, as well as the coveted Mystery Bounty Silhouette Lion Trophy.
The win marks a new milestone in Abiko’s poker career, nearly quadrupling his previous highest live cash of USD 15,263.

Final Day Action
A total of 91 players returned for Day 2 of the event, with all guaranteed a minimum cash payout of KRW 1,380,000 (~USD 1,030).
With the money bubbles already burst in the opening flights and the mystery bounties kicked in from the start of play, the action was fast and furious from the offset.
In less than four hours of play, the original 91 players had been whittled down to the final two tables of 16, with most of the top bounty prizes already scratched off the board.

India’s Kunal Patni came into the day with a commanding chip lead as the only player to cross the 700k mark, with no other player breaking the 600k level. Unfortunately, he went short-stacked by the time the field reached the final two tables after doubling up a number of his opponents and was eventually eliminated in 16th place.
Zhanyu He bagged the highest bounty award of KRW 25,600,000 (USD 19,100) as he went on a head-hunting tear, racking up KRW 30,000,000 (~USD 22,390) in total bounty prizes, which was in fact more than he collected for finishing in fourth place.

China’s Lei Yang was sent home as the final table bubble boy when he called off with jack-ten and couldn’t improve against Daniel Lei’s queen-eight.

China’s Zhihao Liu came into the final table as the chip leader, holding a solid lead over the rest of the pack, with his compatriot Hu Zheng in second.

Final Table Action
Watanabe Wagu was the first player sent home from the final table, with his queen-jack jam running into Zheng’s king-queen and getting no help from the board.
Jianfeng Sun, after coming into the final table as one of the short stacks, went on a tear, finding multiple double-ups to jump into third in chips.
Next to be sent packing in eighth was Teng Ma, whose ace-queen unfortunately found Abiko sitting there with ace-king, with no help from the poker Gods.

Shortly after the players returned from a break, Wenguang Yu was sent to the rail in seventh place when he called off his short stack with nine-eight from the big blind and found Daniel Lei with ace-ten. Lei turned two pair to leave Yu drawing dead.
Zhanyu He was sent packing in sixth place shortly after Yu, with his pocket deuces running into Sun’s pocket jacks. He was pretty much dead on the flop when Sun spiked a set, and it was all over when he filled up on the turn.
Zheng was next to go in fifth place when he mis-timed a re-jam with ten-six, only to run into Abiko’s ace-king, which flopped an ace to leave Zheng drawing dead on the turn.

Sun and Lei then took turns doubling through each other to stay in the title race, but after Abiko sent Liu home in fourth place, he took a commanding lead over his two opponents. Liu called off with queen-six and couldn’t get any help against Abiko’s ace-five.
After doubling up Sun once more, Lei was left on the short stack and couldn’t turn things around. He was unlucky not to get back into the contest when his king-nine was outdrawn by Abiko’s jack-seven, sending Lei to the rail as the bronze-place finisher and forcing play to go heads-up.
Heads-Up Play
The heads-up match between Abiko and Sun started with Abiko holding a near four-to-one chip lead, but this didn’t last long as Sun soon doubled up and eventually found himself with the chip lead.

After the lead switched hands multiple times, the players took a break to discuss a potential deal. Following a lengthy discussion, the deal was agreed, with Abiko being crowned the champion and taking home KRW 59,800,000 (~USD 44,627) along with the APT Championship ticket and the trophy.
