Furniss was favored, and his odds improved signifcantly after the 8 9 J flop left Tchong drawing to a six or some type of runner-runner.

The 5 turn paired Tchong to give him some additional outs to sweat, and as fate would have it, the 6 river gave Tchong an unlikely straight as the rest of the tabled gasped at the beat.

Furniss pounded the table in frustration upon realizing what had just happened and was sent out just shy of the money.
