MANILA, PHILIPPINES, February 7, 2025 – John Tech from the Philippines adds another APT accolade to a sterling run on the APT circuit by capturing his 11th career APT title in Event #3: Single Day High Roller – Freezeout. The local pro, who is rapidly approaching USD 2 million in live tournament earnings, outlasted a stacked field of 58 entries to take home the PHP 1,503,200 (~USD 25,554) top prize.

Tech's victory is a substantial one, overcoming an elite final table featuring Punnat Punsri from Thailand and Joshua Mccully from Australia—both renowned names in the poker scene.

Meanwhile, Sung Jin Yun from South Korea finished runner-up, pocketing PHP 1,087,000 (~USD 18,479). Meanwhile, Andrija Robovic from Serbia rounded out the top three with PHP 702,000 (~USD 11,934).

Jun Weng started his series strongly in the mixed games opener by securing his second APT title in Event #2: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O). The seasoned Chinese pro, who has over USD 100,000 in live earnings, outlasted a competitive field of 29 entries (23 unique) to claim the top prize of PHP 183,552 (~USD 3,120).

The runner-up position went to Aussie John Charles Caridad, who took home PHP 126,000 (~USD 2,142). Fellow Australian Antonio Seremet, a mixed games expert and regular at APT festivals, secured third place for PHP 81,000 (~USD 1,377). Meanwhile another Australian, Mark Furniss and familiar face in the mixed games circuit, made his first cash of the series with a fourth-place finish, pocketing PHP 58,000 (~USD 986).

Teyah Kimberly Plamiano from the United States secured her first APT title in Event #5: Women's Event, emerging victorious in a 37-entry (25 unique) field. The amateur claimed the top prize of PHP 31,248 (~USD 531) in the the first women's event of the series, with one scheduled for each day of the festival. The pinnacle of the series for the ladies will be the APT Women's Championship, set to take place on 12 February 2025.

Thailand’s Pussacha Nonsing finished as the runner-up, taking home PHP 22,000 (~USD 374), while local Elena Aguas rounded out the podium in third place for PHP 14,000 (~USD 238).

Rivera, who sits atop the Philippines’ all-time money list with over USD 3.5 million in live tournament earnings, added another title to his ever-expanding trophy cabinet. He navigated through a 21-entry (18 unique) field, clinching the title and PHP 381,200 (~USD 6,480).

Japan’s Yohei Kitazato finished in second place, collecting PHP 254,000 (~USD 4,318), while local Chase Cokaliong took third place for PHP 163,000 (~USD 2,771). Hong Kong’s Sparrow Cheung, an APT regular and known for his mixed-game prowess, proved his versatility by cashing in fourth place with PHP 109,000 (~USD 1,853).

Japan’s Emi Oike put up a valiant fight, finishing runner-up for PHP 70,000 (~USD 1,190), while Wongphat Uengphokinwattanakul from Thailand rounded out the top three for PHP 45,000 (~USD 850).
