INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, AUGUST 2, 2025Daming Kang achieved a major poker milestone in Event #21: Single Day High Roller, earning his first APT title and collecting KRW 80,790,000 (~USD 58,014) — a result that more than doubled his total live tournament earnings. The Chinese player navigated an elite high roller field of 85 entries to seize the biggest victory of his career.

Finishing second was Punnat Punsri, former APT Taipei 2023 Main Event champion and Thai superpro, who was eyeing his fifth APT title. Despite his run at the final table, he ultimately had to settle for KRW 57,430,000 (~USD 41,239).

Xiaqing Ji from China, with over USD 600,000 in live earnings was also eyeing his first APT title, but ultimately secured a third-place finish and payout of KRW 37,600,000 (~USD 27,002).

The victory marked his first APT title and came with a massive career-best payday of KRW 21,253,920 (~USD 15,259) — an amount 15 times larger than his previous biggest live cash.

Kenichiro Dohi of Japan finished second and took home KRW 14,300,000 (~USD 10,267) after a strong final table run, while countryman Ryohei Ishino earned KRW 10,090,000 (~USD 7,243) in third place.

Mao has established himself as one of the standout performers of the series, and with this latest victory worth KRW 19,598,000 (~USD 14,071), he moves even closer to the USD 3 million milestone in live earnings.

Hyo Joon Ko of Canada put up a strong resistance heads-up but ultimately settled for second and a payout of KRW 14,150,000 (~USD 10,161). Daniel Adam Haywood of Australia rounded out the top three, locking in KRW 9,020,000 (~USD 6,476).
