INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, AUGUST 2, 2025– Daming Kang achieved a major poker milestone in Event #21: Single Day High Roller, earning his first APT title and collecting KRW 80,790,000 (~USD 58,014) — a result that more than doubled his total live tournament earnings. The Chinese player navigated an elite high roller field of 85 entries to seize the biggest victory of his career.
Finishing second was Punnat Punsri, former APT Taipei 2023 Main Event champion and Thai superpro, who was eyeing his fifth APT title. Despite his run at the final table, he ultimately had to settle for KRW 57,430,000 (~USD 41,239).
Xiaqing Ji from China, with over USD 600,000 in live earnings was also eyeing his first APT title, but ultimately secured a third-place finish and payout of KRW 37,600,000 (~USD 27,002).

Chau takes home the biggest payday of his poker career so far
It was a stellar performance by Ngai Kan Chau, an amateur player from Hong Kong, who stormed through a field of 245 entries, an APT Incheon record for the event to win Event #19: Sunday Super Stack. The victory marked his first APT title and came with a massive career-best payday of KRW 21,253,920 (~USD 15,259) — an amount 15 times larger than his previous biggest live cash.
Kenichiro Dohi of Japan finished second and took home KRW 14,300,000 (~USD 10,267) after a strong final table run, while countryman Ryohei Ishino earned KRW 10,090,000 (~USD 7,243) in third place.

China’s Renji Mao continued his blistering run at APT Incheon 2025, capturing his fourth career APT title — and second in just three days — with a commanding win in Event #20: Omaha Masters – PL Omaha High. Mao has established himself as one of the standout performers of the series, and with this latest victory worth KRW 19,598,000 (~USD 14,071), he moves even closer to the USD 3 million milestone in live earnings.
Hyo Joon Ko of Canada put up a strong resistance heads-up but ultimately settled for second and a payout of KRW 14,150,000 (~USD 10,161). Daniel Adam Haywood of Australia rounded out the top three, locking in KRW 9,020,000 (~USD 6,476).

Japan’s Hayashi Saki secured her first APT title in style, emerging victorious in Event #22: Women’s Event after outlasting a field of 72 entries. The Japanese amateur navigated a tough final table to claim KRW 6,711,843 (~USD 4,818).
Fellow countrywoman Misaki Tominaga earned KRW 4,840,000 (~USD 3,474) for a solid second-place finish, while Zhiying Zhou of China rounded out the podium in third, taking home KRW 3,150,000 (~USD 2,263).

Norwegian Camilla Samsing, looking to capture her third APT mixed game title, delivered another impressive run but had to settle for second place and KRW 8,200,000 (~USD 5,888). Rounding out the top three was American poker veteran and ambassador Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, who added to his earlier cash on Day 1 of the series with a third-place finish here worth KRW 5,410,000 (~USD 3,884).

Michael Wookju “Ripper” Chung secured his first APT title in Event #27: Hyper Turbo – PL Courchevel Hi-Lo – 5 Card, navigating a field of 49 entries. The American made his mark in the mixed game streets with a strong final table showing, securing KRW 4,951,254 (~USD 3,555) for the win.

Liu takes home his second APT title
APT regular Ziwen Liu added another trophy to his poker resume by winning Event #28: Super Hyper Turbo – Super Hold’em, outlasting a field of 103 entries in the rapid-fire format to secure his second APT title. The Chinese pro maintained a cool presence through the final table, walking away with KRW 7,362,307 (~USD 5,288) for the win.
Etsuko Ishimura of Japan came close to denying Liu the title but ultimately finished runner-up for KRW 5,080,000 (~USD 3,647), while fellow countryman Makiguchi Yota placed third, earning KRW 3,330,000 (~USD 2,391) to complete the podium.
