JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, January 30, 2026 – Welcome to the APT Jeju Classic 2026, with the ten-day festival kickstarting the Asian Poker Tour 20-Year Anniversary as the tour returns to the picturesque South Korean island for the 125th festival in APT history.

Running in partnership with Landing Entertainment Korea at the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa World resort and playing out at the tournament tables of LES A Casino from January 30 to February 8, the festival is headlined by the KRW 2.3 million (~USD 1,600) buy-in Main Event, which carries an impressive KRW 2.2 billion (~USD 1.5 million) guarantee and plays out from Sunday, February 1 to Saturday, February 7.

The tour’s two other signature tournaments—the KRW 15M (~USD 10,400) APT Super High Roller and the KRW 5M (~USD 3,400) APT High Roller—both boast nine figure (six in USD) prize pool guarantees.

The action-packed schedule features 99 events including 18 high roller tournaments, 15 assorted mixed games, and 17 Omaha tournaments, and over KRW 4.9 billion (~USD 3.4 million) in guaranteed prize pools.

In addition to the appetizing guarantees, the festival also offers players a chance to claim a seat to the APT Championship 2026 (APTC) Main Event.

There are seven seats in total up for grabs, with the top three places in the Main Event, as well as the champions of the APT Super High Roller, the APT High Roller, the Superstar Challenge, and the Zodiac Classic – Sponsored by Natural8 all receiving a ~USD 10,000 ticket to the the USD 5M guaranteed season-ending showpiece taking place from November 13–29, 2026 in Taipei.

India’s Vishal Ojah Leads APT National Cup with KRW 93.8M (~USD 65.8K) Up Top

The tournament action at the APT Jeju Classic 2026 got underway with the KRW 850,000 (~USD 600) buy-in APT National Cup, with the event drawing 690 (384 unique) entries over the three starting flights.

The prize pool stands at a sizable KRW 486,804,384 (~USD 341,620), and with the top 14 percent of each flight making the Final Day a total of 97 players successfully circumnavigated the tournament minefield to make the paying positions.

All remaining players are guaranteed a payout of at least KRW 1,340,000 (~USD 940), with the eventual champion walking away with a KRW 93,844,384 (~USD 65,855) top prize.

The initial Flight A got underway at 11am (KST) drawing 200 entries who battled it out over close to eighteen 25-minute levels, with 28 of them making it through to the Final Day.

It was India’s Vishal Ojha who will be returning in pole position after topping the counts of the initial flight, bagging up 575,000 in chips.

Ojha was one of seven players to crack over half a million in chips over the three flights, with Mongolia’s Tuguldur Gantumur (559,000), and China’s Xiongfeng Chen (558,000) rounding out the top three Flight A stacks, putting them second and third respectively in the overall pecking order.

The KRW 200 million (~USD 143,000) guarantee was exceeded on Flight B, which proved the most popular of the three flights, attracting 283 entries with a further 40 players making it through to the Final Day after duking it out over twenty 20-minute levels.

Yang Gang Zou topped the Flight B chip counts after bagging up a stack of 557,000, which puts the Chinese player fourth in the overall chip counts coming into the Final Day, with compatriots Wei Hong Liu (535,000), and Zu You Wang (494,000) rounding out the top three.

Just 29 of the 207 Flight C entries found a chip bag awaiting them at the end of the evening’s play, with China’s Yi Qin closing out the twenty-one 15-minute levels played with a stack of 505,000 – putting him sixth in the overall chip counts.

Compatriots Song Li (500,000) and APT Incheon 2025 Main Event winner Junjie He (466,000) rounded out the top three Flight C stacks.
