JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, OCTOBER 1, 2026– Day 7 of APT Jeju 2026 brought the thirteen-day festival beyond its halfway point, with the two-day High Roller returning for its much-anticipated finale and a KRW 179,790,000 (~USD 132,686) top prize, one of the biggest for a side event this festival. Away from the headline event, another packed slate saw established champions chasing further silverware, several players attempting to turn deep runs earlier in the festival into victories, and more newcomers looking to open their APT title accounts.

Read on to find out more about all the side-event action from Day 7:

Plant stood above the rest in the two-day high roller event

Irish pro Ryan Plant emerged victorious on the Final Day of the two-day Event #54: High Roller, taking home KRW 179,790,000 (~USD 132,686) and his fifth career APT title.

The event returned with 43 survivors from Day 1 and only 27 places paid, with a number of decorated APT regulars still in contention for the top prize. Joseph Sanghyon Cheong had led the field into the Final Day ahead of Kunal Patni and Ka Chun Tsui, but the advantage would not translate into another trophy for the two-time Zodiac Classic champion.

Instead, it was Plant who rose to the top, adding another major result to a career that is now closing in on the USD 2 million mark in live tournament earnings. The Irishman had already come close to a title earlier in the festival, finishing runner-up in Event #21: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty, but went one better this time to secure his fifth APT title, the KRW 179,790,000 (~USD 132,686) top prize, and an APT Championship 2026 Main Event ticket.

China’s Jingyao Yan, who had already recorded two cashes at APT Jeju 2026, was seeking his second APT title but ultimately finished runner-up for KRW 121,350,000 (~USD 89,557). Compatriot Zhili Zhou took third for a career-best KRW 83,530,000 (~USD 61,646).

Philippine poker veteran Lester Edoc added another APT final table appearance to his extensive résumé, finishing fourth for KRW 68,100,000 (~USD 50,258). Day 1 chip leader Cheong reached the nine-handed final table but was the first player eliminated, taking ninth for KRW 18,180,000 (~USD 13,417).

27 runners were paid, with the final table results below:
