TAIPEI, TAIWAN, November 28, 2025– Day 15 of the APT Championship 2025 delivered a landmark moment inside Red Space as two major titles were awarded. The #1011 [Event 11] APTC Main Event Freezeout reached its dramatic conclusion, officially crowning the richest champion in APT history, while the #1014 [Event 14] Teams Championship also wrapped up its final day with a new pair of winners lifting the trophy.

With two champions celebrated, the festival showed no signs of slowing down. A fresh wave of Championship events kicked off their opening stages, including the #1013 [Event 13] High Roller Championship, #1015 [Event 15] Micro Main Event Championship, #1016 [Event 16] Freezeout Championship, and #1017 [Event 17] Mini High Roller Championship, each drawing eager fields as players looked to make their mark heading into the final weekend.

As momentum builds and titles continue to fall, Day 15 marked the beginning of an intense closing stretch, setting the stage for one of the most exciting finales in APT New Era history.

Sharma Reaches the APT Summit

Indian pro Nishant Kishanlal Sharma etched his name into APT history, capturing the APTC Main Event Championship and becoming the richest Main Event champion the tour has ever crowned. Sharma triumphed in what stands as the biggest and richest USD 10K buy-in tournament held outside of Las Vegas in the past decade, and the largest and wealthiest Main Event ever run in Asia. For his extraordinary victory, he claimed a life-changing TWD 37,030,773 (~USD 1,186,880) top prize, securing his place among the elite of the APT New Era.

Meanwhile, the Teams Championship also crowned its winners today, as Ming Ken Thoo and Eugene Zhou outlasted the field to lift the coveted trophy. After a final day filled with swings and coordinated teamwork, the champions sealed the victory and each walked away with TWD 374,782 (~12,010 USD) and a silver lion trophy.

Lai Tops Overall Chip Counts in Micro Main Event Championship

The Micro Main Event Championship drew a massive response on Day 15, with the combined flights attracting 750 entries (465 uniques). These numbers have built a prize pool of TWD 6,000,480 (~USD 1,869,308), with TWD 1,149,680 (~USD 35,816) reserved for the eventual champion. In total, 105 survivors will play the Final Day with each locking up an ITM finish worth TWD 15,200 (~USD 474).

Flight A

Wan Yun Lai goes into the Final Day of the Micro Main Event Championship as overall chipleader

The #1015 [Event 15] Micro Main Event Championship kicked off today with Flight A, drawing an impressive 387 entries, all securing an ITM finish. Topping the counts was Hong Kong’s Wan Yun Lai, who bagged a commanding 1,029,000 chips to set the pace heading into the Final Day.

Flight B

Chih Hao Hu leads the pack in Flight B of the Micro Main Event Championship

Flight B of the Micro Main Event Championship followed later in the day, drawing another strong crowd of 363 entries as players continued to chase their spot in the Final Day lineup. By the close of play, 51 survivors had secured their bags, each locking in an ITM finish. Leading the way was Taiwanese Chih Hao Hu, who amassed 856,000 chips to top the Flight B leaderboard and position themselves as one of the early front-runners of the event.

Warhurst Leads the Charge in Freezeout Championship

Warhurst built a monstrous stack going into the Final Day of the Freezeout Championship

The Freezeout Championship kicked off today with an impressive turnout of 303 entries, building a total prize pool of TWD 13,089,600 (~USD 407,147). After a full day of play, 93 survivors advanced to the Final Day, where only 39 of them will finish in the money. Those who reach the ITM threshold are guaranteed a minimum cash of TWD 90,300 (~USD 2,812), while the eventual champion will walk away with TWD 2,624,300 (~USD 81,770).

At the top of the counts heading into the Final Day is Aussie Julian-Andrew Warhurst from Australia, who bagged a commanding 534,000 to claim the overall chip lead, nearly double his closest competitor. Following him is the United Kingdom’s Max Richard Deveson with 296,000, while Hong Kong’s Justin Tsui rounded out the top three with 288,000.

Other notables who will join them tomorrow include Dylan Wayne Foster (217,000), Sean Ooi (193,000), and Natural8 ambassador Nevan Chang (99,500), who recently took down the Mini Main Event Championship.
