Alex Wice
Hand #87: Roman Hrabec raised 325,000 on the button and Alex Wice three-bet out of the big blind to 1,200,000. With the action back on Hrabec, he burned through a few of his time banks before electing to four-bet it to 2,000,000. Wice, after giving it it some thought of his own, five-bet ripped it for 6,900,000. Hrabec snap-called and the players went to showdown.
Alex Wice: K J
Roman Hrabec: Q Q
Hrabec had the chance to win the tournament if his pocket queens could stay ahead of Wice's king-jack through the runout.
An incredibly favorable flop came down for Hrabec in the form of 3 6 Q giving him top set and leaving Wice needing running cards to win.
An A hit the turn, which offered Wice with a straight draw, but it wasn't to be as the 3 only improved Hrabec to a boat.
Wice had to settle with a runner-up finish for TWD 10,361,500 (~USD 332,100), while Hrabec was crowned the champion of the APT Super High Roller Championship.
