MANILA, PHILIPPINES, February 11, 2025– Serbia’s Andrija Robovic secured his second APT title in Event #32: High Roller – Ultra Stack, marking his biggest career cash and pushing his total live earnings beyond USD 300,000. Robovic battled through a stacked field of 122 entries over two play days to claim the PHP 3,181,960 (~USD 54,093) top prize.

The Philippines’ Lester Edoc, second on his country's all-time money list, came agonisingly close to another major title, finishing as the runner-up for PHP 2,150,000 (~USD 36,550). Meanwhile, fellow Filipino James Mendoza, who entered the final day as the chip leader, rounded out the podium, taking third place for PHP 1,398,000 (~USD 23,766).

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom's Scott Margereson added another final table appearance to his series after the APT Super High Roller event yesterday, finishing seventh.

Ni Captures First APT Title in Record-Breaking Event #40: NL Hold'em

Ni from China took home his first APT title

China’s Yepeng Ni celebrated a breakthrough victory, securing his first APT title and career-best cash in Event #40: NL Hold'em. Ni triumphed over a field of 139 entries to claim the PHP 865,880 (~USD 14,710) top prize. The event set in-country records for prize pool and first-place prize.

Thailand’s Pawanat Inthuyos took home PHP 587,000 (~USD 9,979) as the runner-up. while South Korea’s Jeong Yeol Yu rounded out the podium taking third place for PHP 387,000 (~USD 6,579).

Wang Secures Ninth APT Title in Event #41: 5 Card Draw Masters

Wang adds a ninth APT title to his long list of APT accolades

Taiwan’s Yu Tang Wang continued his dominance in mixed games that started since APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024, capturing his ninth APT title—and his eighth in a mixed game format in Event #41: 5 Card Draw Masters. Wang outlasted a field of 20 entries to claim the top prize of PHP 435,800 (~USD 7,409).

The United Kingdom’s Craig Anthony Cooper put up a strong fight but settled for second place, taking home PHP 290,000 (~USD 4,930). Taiwan’s Li Ta Hsu, another mixed games expert, rounded out the podium with a third-place finish, earning PHP 187,000 (~USD 3,179).

Chen Claims Maiden APT Title in Record-Breaking Event #42: Baby Superstar Challenge

China’s Zhen Chen emerged triumphant in Event #42: Baby Superstar Challenge, capturing his first-ever APT title and PHP 4,327,600 (~USD 73,569). This victory also propelled his career live earnings past USD 600,000. The tournament set new in-country records for entries (53), prize pool, and first-place prize.

Germany’s Kilian Konrad Kramer put up a valiant effort but ultimately settled for second place, taking home PHP 3,125,000 (~USD 53,125). Meanwhile, Emilien Pitavy from French Polynesia secured third-place, pocketing PHP 1,992,000 (~USD 33,864).

Russia’s Aleksandr Elizarov achieves his first victory in tournament poker by securing his first-ever title in Event #43: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O). Elizarov outmaneuvered a field of 54 entries (36 unique) to claim the PHP 250,476 (~USD 4,258) top prize.

The United States’ Nick Roscoe Blackburn came close but ultimately finished runner-up, taking home PHP 180,000 (~USD 3,060). Meanwhile, fellow Russian Andrei Kiliushev completed the podium with a third-place finish, earning PHP 116,000 (~USD 1,972).

Nguyen Wins First APT Title in Event #44: Women's Event

Vietnam’s Linda Minh Phuong Nguyen secured her first APT title in Event #44: Women's Event, rising above a field of 25 entries (20 unique) to claim the PHP 161,480 (~USD 2,745) top prize.

Thailand’s Pussacha Nonsing was Nguyen’s heads up opponent, but ultimately settled for PHP 108,000 (~USD 1,836) in second place, while her compatriot Wisinee Tanpichai rounded out the podium, taking home PHP 69,000 (~USD 1,173).

Quiambao Claims First APT Title in Event #45: NL Hold'em After Three-Way Deal

Quiambao claims his first APT title and trophy after a three-way deal was struck

Asian poker circuit regular Cezar Ii Quiambao from the Philippines added another achievement to growing list of poker achievements, securing the trophy and PHP 500,000 (~USD 8,500) in Event #45: NL Hold'em. The tournament drew a record-breaking field of 184 entries (147 unique) for the event, and after a hard-fought day of poker, the top three players left agreed to a three-way deal, with Quiambao claiming the title and the coveted trophy as a result of the deal for holding the chip lead at the time of the agreement.

Man Lok Cheung from Hong Kong, who held the second largest chipstack at end of day's play earned the largest payout at PHP 510,392 (~USD 8,676), while the short stack, Hou Sam Leong from Macau locked up PHP 479,800 (~USD 8,156).

Weng Claims Second APT Title of the Series in Event #46: Turbo - PL Omaha High - Bomb Pot

Weng has two titles in Omaha this series to his name

China’s Jun Weng is making a statement this series, securing his second APT title in Event #46: Turbo - PL Omaha High - Bomb Pot. Both his victories come in the Omaha format. With this win, he now boasts three APT titles overall. Outlasting a 76-entry (53 unique) field, Weng walked away with PHP 103,851 (~USD 1,765).

Russia’s Ivan Osipov put up a strong challenge but in the end settled for second place, earning PHP 74,000 (~USD 1,258). Japan’s Saki Nakamura also made a deep run, finishing in third place with PHP 49,000 (~USD 833).

Japan’s Kohei Suzuki grabbed his first APT title in Event #47: Hyper Turbo - Double Stack, overcoming a field of 89 entries (85 unique). The amateur battled through the fast-paced format, ultimately claiming PHP 360,748 (~USD 6,132).

South Korea’s Jun Young Park made a deep run but fell just short of the title, settling for PHP 252,000 (~USD 4,284) as the runner-up. Anastasios Pavlou, representing the United Arab Emirates, rounded out the top three, taking home PHP 166,000 (~USD 2,822) for his top three finish.

Hong Kong’s Wing Sheuk Sham clinched his first-ever APT title in Event #48: Super Hyper Turbo. Sham bested a field of 51 entries (46 unique) to take home the PHP 120,356 (~USD 2,096) top prize in the hyper-fast structure.

Japan’s Jin Okuhara came close to the title but had to settle for PHP 87,000 (~USD 1,530) in second place. Meanwhile, India’s Rajeev Kanjani secured a podium finish, claiming third place and PHP 56,000 (~USD 1,020).
