TAIPEI, TAIWAN, April 30, 2026– APT Taipei 2026 is heading into the final weekend of the festival, however, there is still action aplenty with plenty of tournaments still to play, including a surprise one announced by the Tour earlier this week.
The Labour Day Monsterstack was announced by the Asian Poker Tour, running from Thursday, April 30 to May 3. With a very affordable TWD 3,500 entree fee and a TWD 6 million guarantee, the tournament is expected to draw a huge field, so get to playing while you can!

Labour Day Monsterstack Begins as Main Event Reaches Critical Stage
Day 9 of APT Taipei 2026 saw attention split between the recently announced Labour Day Monsterstack and the progressing Main Event, with both tournaments building momentum as the series heads into its final stretch.
The Labour Day Monsterstack is predicted to draw strong numbers, with players eyeing value with a huge guarantee in the tournament. The structure sees the top 14 percent of each flight making the money, while the top 5 percent of the field will progress to the Final Day, set to play out on Sunday, May 3, with the Final Table taking centre stage at Red Space.

Across Flights A and B, a combined 609 entries were recorded. Flight A paid a minimum cash of TWD 5,100, while Flight B saw a min cash of TWD 5,200. From Flight A, 19 players advanced, led by local contender Lin Jyun Li, who bagged an impressive 1,715,000 chips to top the counts. Over in Flight B, 12 players survived, and Wu Yung-kuei from Taiwan emerged as chip leader with 1,405,000 chips, setting up a competitive field heading into the later stages of the event.

Meanwhile, the APT Main Event pushed through Day 3, with the field continuing to narrow as contenders position themselves for a deep run. Leading the way at the end of the day is Ren Lin from China, who is on a sun run following victories in the APT Super High Roller and Superstar Challenge at APT Jeju 2026. He closed out the day with 5,275,000 chips, putting himself firmly in contention as the tournament approaches its decisive stages.

Edoc Captures Historic 21st Title in Event #108: High Roller

Event #108: High Roller delivered another compelling showdown at APT Taipei 2026, with the two-day event drawing 175 entries and paying out a minimum cash of TWD 122,800 (~USD 3,923). A stacked field of regulars and rising contenders battled through to the Final Day, where one of the Tour’s most decorated players added yet another milestone to his career.
The Philippines’ Lester Edoc emerged victorious, claiming his 21st APT title along with TWD 2,460,600 (USD 78,613). Ranked fourth on the Philippines’ all-time money list, Edoc’s latest triumph also sees him surpass the USD 3 million mark in live tournament earnings. This victory also marks his fifth APT title in the New Era.
Fellow Filipino pro Christopher Mateo delivered a strong performance in pursuit of his ninth APT title but ultimately settled for second place, earning TWD 1,667,000 (USD 53,259). With over USD 1.3 million in live earnings and a victory earlier this series in Event #58: High Roller Mystery Bounty Single Day, Mateo adds another final table to his consistent run of results this festival.
Japan’s Ryosuke Ikari rounded out the podium, taking home TWD 1,111,300 (USD 35,504) for his third-place finish. The Japanese pro, who has over USD 300,000 in live earnings, was in search of his second APT title but fell just short after another composed deep run.
