New APT Official Strategy & Training Sponsor DeepRun Kicks Off the APT Taipei 2026 Festival Action With APT National Cup

APT Fred Leung & DeepRun Kannapong Thanarattrakul.jpg APT CEO Fred Leung (left) and DeepRun Managing Director Kannapong Thanarattrakul cement the official sponsorship deal between the two organizations

The opening event of the APT Taipei 2026 is sponsored by the tour’s official strategy and training sponsor – brand-new Asian facing poker training and education platform DeepRun, with the partnership between APT and DeepRun announced previously on April 16, 2026.

The TWD 12,000 (~USD 380) buy-in APT National Cup – Sponsored by DeepRun runs from Wednesday, April 22, until Saturday, April 25, comprising six starting flights in total with two flights playing each day from Wednesday to Friday.

The top 14 percent of each flight will make the money, but only the top 5 percent of each flight will make it through to the Final Day, with all six starting flight results available via the respective APT National Cup tournament pages.

The Final Day plays out on Saturday with the eventual champion claiming an APTC Main Event seat valued at TWD 313,000 (USD 10,000), in addition to the trophy, title, and an as yet unknown top prize. Live coverage of this will be available via the APT Blog on April 25.

Any player making the final table will also be awarded a 30-day free DeepRun subscription package. Visit www.deeprun.com for more details.

Just before the tournament action for the initial Flight A got underway, APT CEO Fred Leung and DeepRun Managing Director Kannapong Thanarattrakul sat down to sign the contract between the two organisations, before Thanarattrakul and fellow DeepRun co-founder Phachara Wongwichit said a few words.

We started DeepRun because we have a goal. We want to improve Asia's poker skill. And then we know that the language is a big barrier for poker. That's why we made the plan to have multi-languages, and we cover Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.” said Thanarattrakul.

We are a one-stop place where we have solvers and charts. We also have very respected coaches—also our friends, and we trust them—teaching you not just theory, but anything to do with mindset, everything to do with improving your poker.” continued Wongwichit.

I think APT is a natural choice. It's a market leader in Asia, and we focus on the Asian market; it's a trusted brand, reputable, and it's still growing. And both the coaches and our students and our market all attend these events. APT runs landmark events, it's an easy choice.” Wongwichit stated.

We’d like to entrust DeepRun to poker players across Asia.” concluded Thanarattrakul in Thai, with the tournament action then getting underway.
