TAIPEI, TAIWAN, April 23, 2026 – Run in partnership with with the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Club (CTP) across two venues—the cavernous Red Space 多元商務空間 and the Asia Poker Arena—the APT Taipei 2026—the second day of the 12-day APT Taipei 2026 saw fifteen tournaments in action at Red Space, with APA venue coming into play on Friday, April 24.

It was the first of the festival’s guaranteed key events, the TWD 12,000 (~USD 380) buy-in Event #1: National Cup – Sponsored by DeepRun that proved to be the most popular draw of the day, drawing a four-figure field with two remaining opening flights left to play out.

With the tournament coming with a TWD 15 million (~USD 477,000) guarantee, it is the first event of the series offering players a shot at claiming a ticket valued at TWD 313,000 (USD 10,000) to the tour’s USD 5M GTD Asian Poker Tour Championship (APTC) Main Event running in November, with 22 tickets in total up for grabs over the course of the series.

With the format paying out the top 14 percent of each flight, but only 5 percent of each flights’ field making it through to the Final Day, so far Wednesday’s Flights A & B have drawn a combined 545 entries, 78 of whom have made the money, and 28 of which made it through to the Final Day.

With Flight C attracting a further 563 entries, and Flight D another 271 entries, the total field currently stands at 1,379 entries with 79 players making the paying positions from Flight C, and 39 cashing Flight D.

That brings the total current prize pool for the four flights played up to TWD 13,569,360 (~USD 433,525), with the guarantee likely to be reached and breached midway through Flight E on Friday.

The top 28 Flight C players, and the top 14 Flight D players remain in contention, bringing the total number of Final Day players up to 69, and the current Final Day prize pool of the monies carried over from Flights A-D stands at TWD 2,836,000 (~USD 90,600) with Flights E & F left to play out.

Following the same format as Wednesday’s Flight A, Flight C kicked off at 11am local time (TST) and saw 563 entries fight it out at the felt over twenty-four 30-minute levels for a slice of the TWD 5,539,920 (~USD 176,995) Flight C prize pool.

With the top 14 percent of the flight making the paying positions, a total of 79 players got paid, with places 29-79 claiming TWD 4,454,420 (~USD 142,310) of the total Flight C prize pool.

The other 28 Flight C players progressed to the Final Day and will return to action on Saturday, April 25. The remaining TWD 1,085,500 (~USD 34,680) of the Flight C prize pool will be added to the Final Day prize pool.

It was India’s Pranav Agarwal topping the Flight C leaderboard, concluding the action with a stack of 1,995,000 in chips, putting him out in pole position over the four flights played so far.

Taiwan’s Shao Fu Wang (1,480,000) and former Main Event champion John Tech of the Philippines (1,310,000) rounded out the top three stacks, with the top ten Flight C stacks as follows:

Flight D

Flight D got underway at 6pm local time (TST) drawing a further 271 entries who competed over twenty-five turbo-charged 15-minute levels for a share of the TWD 2,666,640 (~USD 85,195) Flight D prize pool.

Just 39 players made the paying positions, with places 15-39 claiming a TWD 2,072,640 (~USD 66,220) share of the Flight D prize pool, with the remaining 14 players and TWD 594,000 (~USD 18,980) in cash moving over to the Final Day.

It was Taiwan’s Tzu Shiang Chen topping the flight, bagging up a stack of 1,420,000, with India’s Anuj Yadv (1,350,000), and Germany’s Joshua Gebissa (1,135,000) rounding out the top three Flight D stacks, with the top ten Flight D survivors as follows:
