TAIPEI, TAIWAN, November 30, 2025– Day 17 marked the final chapter of the APT Championship 2025, bringing an extraordinary festival to a close as the last two Championship events — the #1017 [Event 17] Mini High Roller Championship and the #1019 [Event 19] Trip Saver Championship, crowned their winners. With the final trophies awarded and the last hands dealt inside Red Space, the curtain officially fell on the biggest poker festival ever run in Asia.

After seventeen consecutive days of non-stop action, the Championship has set new benchmarks across the board for the APT New Era, from record-breaking prize pools and historic Main Event milestones to unprecedented satellite turnouts and festival-long participation.

That’s a wrap for the APT Championship 2025 in Taipei. See you next at APT Jeju Classic 2026, running 30 January to 8 February 2026.

Lam Takes Home Mini High Roller Championship

The #1017 [Event 17] Mini High Roller Championship delivered a grand finale-worthy showdown to close out the final weekend of the APT Championship 2025. The event attracted 184 entries (including 143 unique players) and generated a massive TWD 38,687,692 (~USD 1,205,202) prize pool — marking the eighth seven-figure USD prize pool of the festival. With a min-cash of TWD 386,900 (~USD 12,053) and TWD 8,569,092 (~USD 266,992) reserved for the winner, the field battled across three days of play and went through 30 levels of 40 minute levels to crown its champion.

Hong Kong’s Wayne Jin Wing Lam emerged victorious, lifting his first APT lion trophy after a composed and well-earned run. Earlier this year, Lam finished third in the APT Taipei 2025 Main Event, narrowly missing out on a Mega Lion. This time, he completed the journey, sealing redemption with a career-defining victory worth TWD 8,569,092 (~USD 266,992). It is the largest score of his poker career.

Malaysia’s Wai Kiat Lee finished runner-up, adding TWD 5,783,800 (~USD 180,105) to his already impressive run in this Championship. With over USD 20 million in live earnings, Lee is one of Asia’s most accomplished high-stakes professionals, and throughout this Championship series he made multiple deep runs as he chased his first APT title — coming agonisingly close once again. Denmark’s Johan Buchtrup Schultz Pedersen, who won a Single Day High Roller earlier in the festival, secured third place for TWD 3,981,000 (~USD 123,986) after yet another strong showing.

The #1019 [Event 19] Trip Saver Championship brought the final burst of Championship action to the closing day of the APT Championship 2025, drawing 394 entries (including 273 unique players) to build a prize pool of TWD 11,914,560 (~USD 371,096). With a min-cash of TWD 58,400 (~USD 1,819) awaiting 55 players and TWD 2,310,960 (~USD 71,994) for the champion, players were scrambling to grab hold of the last APT mega lion trophy of the Championship.

Hong Kong’s Fung Lin emerged as the final champion of the festival, capturing his first-ever APT title. An amateur player, Lin’s breakthrough victory awarded him TWD 2,310,960 (~USD 71,994), a result that quadruples his career live earnings and marks his largest score of his poker career.

South Korea’s Wonchul Bae finished runner-up, earning TWD 1,465,500 (~USD 45,646). Had he captured the title, Bae would have surpassed USD 1 million in live earnings, but he ultimately settled for second.. The podium was completed by the Philippines’ Vamerdino Magsakay, who collected TWD 1,059,200 (~USD 33,001). Already a four-time APT champion, Magsakay was seeking his fifth trophy but bowed out in third.
