Texas Hold’em – Bomb Pot
Texas Hold’em – Bomb Pot
This Bomb Pot is a Texas Hold’em variant where each player is dealt two hole-cards of which you will may still use both, one, or none of in addition to any cards on the board to make your best five-card hand.
The Bomb Pot format is where all players place an Ante (forced bet - as determined by the structure) into the pot before any cards are dealt and the first action begins post flop – no other action takes place pre-flop. All other rules for Texas Hold’em remain unchanged.
How it’s Dealt:
Pre-Flop: After the dealer has collected the antes, players receive both of their hole cards. There is no additional betting at this time.
The Flop: 3 community cards are dealt followed by another round of betting.
The Turn: After action on the flop is complete, a fourth community card is dealt followed by a round of betting.
The River: When betting action is completed for the turn round, the fifth and final community card is dealt followed by a final round of betting.
The Showdown:
If there is more than one remaining player when the final betting round is complete, the last person to bet or raise shows their cards. If no player bets on the River, the player immediately clockwise from the button shows their cards first. The player with the best five-card hand wins the pot.
*In the event of identical winning hands, the pot will be equally divided between the players with the best hands.
**In the event of an odd chip during the split, it is awarded to the first active player immediately clockwise from the button – the player in the worst position.
