Day 1 of the TWD $150,000 APT Taipei Super High Roller sponsored by Natural8 is a wrap. A total of 117 entries created a total prize pool of TWD $15,888,600 (~$516,300) – the largest Super High Roller prize pool in the APT's fifteen year history.
The winner of this event will take home a whopping TWD 3,997,400 (~$129,900). Never in the history of the APT has a Super High Roller attracted so many entries.
Out of the 117 entries, 23 players bagged for Day 2 and 17 will make it into the money. The chip leader at the start of Day 2 will be Wing Po Liu from Hong Kong who ended the day with 2,815,000, just one big blind more than our number two in the charts Sam Fung Lam.
Other notables players that made Day 2 are bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer (2,200,000), Dutch pro Jimmy Pan (2,155,000), Japanese poker legend Jun Obara (1,770,000), and APT regular Jun Hao Wu (385,000).
