Stephen Pang started the action with a raise to 125,000 in the cutoff and Nozomi Ota three-bet to 430,000 in the small blind. Pang called and they headed to the monotone flop of Q 9 5 .

Ota continued for 275,000 and Pang then announced a raise to 1,000,000. Two seconds later, Ota moved all-in and Pang literally beat her into the pot.

Another twist to the story came when the 5 on the river paired the board. Ota had been the second-largest stack on their table but Pang was the only one to have her covered to once again win a gargantuan pot.

Ota's tournament ended in 26th place while Pang leaped to the top of the counts.
