JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, September 29, 2026– Day 5 of APT Jeju 2026 brought some of the festival’s biggest names to the fore, with a record field for this series’ Single Day High Rollers headlining another packed day for side events on Jeju Island. Several seasoned APT champions found themselves in contention for yet more silverware, while a number of players were on the verge of career milestones.

Arai Lands Career-Best Score and Maiden APT Title in Event #46: Single Day High Roller

Arai runs hot for his first APT title

Japan’s Kenji Arai enjoyed the biggest result of his poker career after conquering the 105-entry field in Event #46: Single Day High Roller, the largest Single Day High Roller of APT Jeju 2026 so far.

Arai collected a career-best KRW 99,666,000 (~USD 73,554) for the victory, a result that almost doubled his previous lifetime live tournament earnings, along with his maiden APT title.

China’s Xiao Zhang was chasing a second APT title but fell one spot short, earning KRW 68,660,000 (~USD 50,672) as runner-up. UK pro Scott Margereson, who boasts more than USD 5 million in live tournament earnings, was also hunting for his second APT trophy but ultimately finished third for KRW 45,060,000 (~USD 33,255).

Zeng Celebrates Career-Best Score in Event #44: NL - Hold'em - Bounty

Zeng aims true for his first APT title

China’s Zeng Weiyong enjoyed the biggest result of his poker career after conquering the 188-entry field in Event #44: NL - Hold'em - Bounty, walking away with KRW 30,095,200 (~USD 22,211).

The victory marked Zeng’s maiden APT title, with the Chinese player turning his run in one of the festival’s larger fields into a new career-best live tournament score.

It was an all-Chinese podium, with Yu Zhicheng taking second place for KRW 20,980,000 (~USD 15,483) and Xiang Li finishing third for KRW 14,380,000 (~USD10,612).

Choi Adds Sixth APT Title in Event #45: Masters Mix Game - 9-Game

Choi looks to further add to his growing trophy colletion after sixth APT title

Hong Kong pro Yun Lam Kevin Choi added another trophy to his growing APT collection after navigating the 34-entry field in Event #45: Masters Mix Game - 9-Game, earning KRW 16,294,000 (~USD 12,025).

The victory marked Choi’s sixth APT title, having most recently captured his fifth at APT Incheon 2026. The mixed-game specialist boasts more than USD 1.2 million in live tournament earnings and has regularly featured in the APT’s mixed-game events.

China’s Wei Sun came close to adding a third APT title of his own after his earlier victory in Event #29, but ultimately settled for second and KRW 11,240,000 (~USD 8,295). Thailand’s Sorawit Suriyakarn completed the podium in third for KRW 7,160,000 (~USD 5,284).

Wang Claims Second APT Title With Career-Best Women's Main Event Victory

Wang makes career best score in APT Jeju 2026

China’s Wang Zhujun recorded the biggest score of her poker career after overcoming the 46-entry field in Event #47: Women's Main Event, earning KRW 10,384,588 (~USD 7,664).

The victory saw Wang capture her second APT title, adding another trophy to her collection while setting a new career-high live tournament score.

Thailand’s Janejira Phiwon finished runner-up for KRW 7,180,000 (~USD 5,299), while Japan’s Akari Takimoto rounded out the podium in third for KRW 4,580,000 (~USD 3,380).

Michl Adds Fourth APT Title in Event #48: PL Omaha High

Michl takes down his fourth APT title

Dutch pro Joris Michl added another APT trophy to his collection after overcoming the 67-entry field in Event #48: PL Omaha High, earning KRW 12,158,304 (~USD 8,973).

The victory marked Michl’s fourth career APT title, with the Dutchman getting the better of China’s Weidong Guo heads-up to add another piece of silverware to his APT résumé.

Guo collected KRW 8,760,000 (~USD 6,465) for his runner-up finish, while fellow Chinese player Bin Zhao completed the podium in third for KRW 5,690,000 (~USD 4,199).

Wang Runs Hot for Third APT Title in Event #49: NL - Hold'em - 1 Re-Entry

Wang takes down his second for the festival for his third APT title

China’s Yi Wang continued his impressive run of form at APT Jeju 2026, topping the 173-entry field in Event #49: NL - Hold'em - 1 Re-Entry to collect KRW 33,800,000 (~USD 24,945).

Wang had already tasted victory earlier in the festival in Event #15: Turbo - NLH, which earned him his second career APT title. His latest triumph means he has now won two titles at APT Jeju 2026 and takes his career tally to three APT titles.

It was an all-Chinese podium, with Haowen Sun finishing runner-up for KRW 22,890,000 (~USD 16,893) and Wang Qizhuohang taking third for KRW 15,260,000 (~USD 11,262).

Yang Converts Strong Jeju Run Into Second APT Title in Event #50: Turbo - NL Single Draw Mix

Yang good for his second APT title

China’s Renjun Yang added a second APT trophy to his collection after topping the 34-entry field in Event #50: Turbo - NL Single Draw Mix, earning KRW 5,160,544 (~USD 3,808).

Yang, who has amassed more than USD 400,000 in live tournament earnings, had already recorded three cashes at APT Jeju 2026 before this event. He converted his fourth trip to the money into victory, securing his second career APT title.

Finishing runner-up was Chinese pro and WSOP bracelet winner Renji Mao, who had earlier placed fifth in the Superstar Challenge to take his career live tournament earnings past the USD 5 million mark. Mao was chasing his fifth APT title but settled for KRW 3,550,000 (~USD 2,620), while China’s Xuan Zhou took third for KRW 2,270,000 (~USD 1,675).

Zhang Secures Second APT Title in Event #51: Turbo - High Roller - Win the Button

Zhang brings home his second APT title

China’s Yan Zhang added a second APT title to his résumé after coming out on top of the 59-entry field in Event #51: Turbo - High Roller - Win the Button, collecting KRW 23,443,200 (~USD 17,301).

Zhang, who has amassed more than USD 1 million in live tournament earnings, defeated Thailand’s Tharit Nanthana heads-up to claim the trophy. Nanthana was himself chasing a second title of the festival following his victory in Event #16: Hyper Turbo - High Roller, but settled for KRW 16,960,000 (~USD 12,517).

China’s Yi Qin rounded out the podium in third, taking home KRW 10,940,000 (~USD 8,074).

Sun Turns First Career Cash Into Maiden APT Title in Event #52: Hyper Turbo - NLH

Sun makes good on his first deep run

Chinese amateur Jialiang Sun made his first recorded live tournament cash one to remember, topping the 85-entry field in Event #52: Hyper Turbo - NLH for KRW 9,591,360 (~USD 7,078).

Sun entered the event without a recorded live tournament result to his name, but went all the way to turn his first career cash into his maiden APT title.

Fellow Chinese player Houyu Zheng narrowly missed out on adding another trophy to his collection this festival, finishing runner-up for KRW 6,810,000 (~USD 5,026). Hong Kong’s Bosley Yang Yu completed the podium in third for KRW 4,460,000 (~USD 3,292).

Zhao Turns First Career Cash Into APT Title in Event #53: Super Hyper Turbo - Double Board Bomb Pot

Zhao seals his first APT title

China’s Minghong Zhao made his first recorded live tournament cash a winning one, taking down** Event #53: Super Hyper Turbo - Double Board Bomb Pot** for KRW 4,171,113 (~USD 3,078) and his maiden APT title.

Zhao entered the event without any previous recorded live tournament cashes but overcame a final table that included Nevan Chang, who was chasing his second trophy of the day. Chang had earlier won the Superstar Challenge for his 10th APT title, taking his live earnings at the APT past the USD 1.4 million mark.

Chang came close to immediately adding an 11th title but ultimately settled for second and KRW 3,020,000 (~USD 2,229). Japan’s Seiji Haishi rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,950,000 (~USD 1,439).
