JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, February 8, 2026– While APT Jeju Classic 2026 is over, the 2026 season has only just begun. Watch out as we have plenty planned for the 20-Year Anniversary of the Asian Poker Tour!

The final day of the festival still saw plenty of action as festival-goers look for opportunities to save their series and end on a high note. Sorokin Converts Chip Lead into Maiden Title in Event #83 Ultra Stack

Sorokin finishes his series with his first APT title

Event #83: Ultra Stack returned for its Final Day after its opening flights that saw 313 entries comfortably surpass the KRW 100,000,000 guarantee, generating a KRW 262 million (~USD 183,860) prize pool. The stage was set for an exciting finish to the festival, with KRW 52,150,000 (~USD 36,596) awaiting up top for the winner.

Russia’s Maxim Sorokin delivered a composed and commanding performance on the Final Day, converting chip lead into his first APT title. With over USD 700,000 in live earnings, Sorokin made full use of his experience to close out the tournament to claim the top prize of KRW 52,150,000 (~USD 36,596).

Japan’s Makoto Yoshida enjoyed a breakthrough run of his own, finishing runner-up for KRW 33,120,000 (~USD 23,263), the largest score of his poker career to date. Chin Hei Chan of Hong Kong completed the podium in third place, also recording a career-best result with a payout of KRW 24,820,000 (~USD 17,410).

Among the other notable finishers, Nevan Chang, Natural8 ambassador and Taiwanese pro, began the day among the biggest stacks and carried that momentum through to the final table, ultimately finishing seventh for KRW 8,880,000 (~USD 6,231).

Phutiya wins her third APT tite in the Micro Main Event

Thailand’s Yotaka Phutiya added another chapter to her APT success story, topping a 135-entry field to claim victory in Event #92 Micro Main Event. Already a two-time APT champion in Women’s Events, Phutiya forged ahead to secure her third APT title, banking KRW 11,946,944 (~USD 8,384) for the win.

China’s** Yuxiang Cai** finished runner-up after a strong run, earning KRW 8,120,000 (~USD 5,698), while compatriot Yanji Ge completed the podium in third place with a payout of KRW 5,360,000 (~USD 3,761).

Nakai takes down hs first APT title on the final day of the festival

Japan’s Ryuta Nakai made the most of the final opportunity for high rollers on the schedule, powering through a 94-entry field to claim victory in Event #93 High Roller – Last Chance. Carrying over USD 2.4 million in live tournament earnings, Nakai closed out the event to secure KRW 63,988,000 (~USD 44,904), adding another impressive result to his poker résumé.

Australia’s Yita Choong came close to a winning finish but ultimately settled for second place, earning KRW 44,830,000 (~USD 31,459) to wrap up his series on a strong note. Fellow Australian Emad Zarghami completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 29,600,000 (~USD 20,771) after another deep run in the high-stakes field.

American pro Kaifan Wang added a milestone to his poker résumé, topping a 32-entry field to secure his first APT title in Event #94 PL Omaha High. Carrying over USD 600,000 in live tournament earnings into the event, Wang closed it out to collect KRW 6,837,537 (~USD 4,798) for the victory.

China’s Hao Chen finished runner-up after a solid run, taking home KRW 4,713,000 (~USD 3,307), while compatriot Xianming Zhai completed the podium in third place with a payout of KRW 3,003,000 (~USD 2,107).

Inoue takes home his first APT title on the final day of the festival

Japan’s Koichi Inoue closed out the festival on a high note, navigating a 63-entry field to claim his first APT title in Event #95 Turbo – NLH. Having recorded one earlier cash during the series, Inoue capped his series with by banking KRW 7,531,008 (~USD 5,284) for his win.

Fellow Japanese player Ryota Seki finished runner-up for KRW 5,420,000 (~USD 3,803) after a strong showing, while Ye Hu of China rounded out the podium in third place, earning KRW 3,530,000 (~USD 2,477).

Japanese star Jun Obara continued to add to his decorated career by taking down Event #96 Turbo – Double Stack – Super High Roller, emerging on top of a compact yet elite 17-entry field to secure his fourth APT title. With over USD 8 million in live tournament earnings into the event, Obara claimed the victory and the top prize of KRW 52,088,000 (~USD 36,552).

China’s Mingcong Chen finished runner-up after a resilient showing, earning KRW 34,730,000 (~USD 24,372), while Hidenari Tomita of Japan completed the podium in third place with KRW 21,710,000 (~USD 15,235).

APT Host Yuri Murakami from Japan finished runner-up after a great performance, earning KRW 5,700,000 (~USD 4,000), while Yik Hei Isaac Lo of Hong Kong rounded out the podium in third place with KRW 3,640,000 (~USD 2,554).

Backed by two earlier cashes during the festival, Li converted his winning momentum into a trophy, banking KRW 3,800,819 (~USD 2,667) for the win.

Compatriot Jing Feng Zhu finished runner-up after a solid showing, earning KRW 2,610,000 (~USD 1,831), while Pak Hei Kevin Lau of Hong Kong completed the podium in third place with KRW 1,660,000 (~USD 1,164).

Liu finishes the festival with a victory

China’s Weihong Liu put the finishing touch on an impressive festival run, rising above a 72-entry field to claim her first APT title in Event #99 Hyper Turbo – High Roller. Having already recorded four cashes during the series, including a final table appearance at the National Cup, Liu brings home and APT trophy along with, banking KRW 27,192,000 (~USD 19,082) for the win.

The victory came after a heads-up battle against Thailand’s Punnat Punsri, the 2025 GPI Player of the Year, who once again demonstrated his class by finishing runner-up for KRW 19,600,000 (~USD 13,754). Wenwen Chen of China completed the podium in third place, adding KRW 12,740,000 (~USD 8,933) to his tally after another deep run in a stacked high-roller field.
