INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 12, 2026– The side-event action is heating up at APT Incheon 2026 as the festival charges into Day 6 at Paradise City. From fast-paced turbos to mixed-game battles and bigger buy-in contests, there is no shortage of variety on the tables, with another busy day set to showcase the depth of action that has defined the festival so far.

Lin Leads 54 Survivors Into Final Day of Event #59: High Roller

Lin looking to extend his run good at the Asian Poker Tour

Popular Chinese pro Tony Ren Lin sits atop the counts after the opening day of Event #59: High Roller, leading 54 survivors from a 184-entry field into the Final Day.

The two-day contest has generated a sizeable KRW 476 million prize pool, with a top prize of KRW 105,648,000 (~USD 74,928) awaiting the eventual champion. Lin put himself in pole position to claim it after bagging up a commanding 986,000 chips at the end of Day 1.

Boasting over USD 20 million in live tournament earnings and sitting third on China's All-Time Money List, Lin is no stranger to success on the APT stage. The Chinese pro previously captured the APT Jeju Classic Super High Roller title and will return with the largest stack as he looks to add another APT trophy to his résumé.

Fellow Chinese pro Xiang Zou is Lin's closest challenger with 896,000 chips. Zou has close to USD 400,000 in live tournament earnings but is still searching for his maiden APT title, while APT circuit regular Tomokatsu Kumano sits third in the counts with 753,000 chips.

Plenty of decorated names remain further down the field, including American pro Calvin Sungwon Lee, who returns with 306,000 chips. Lee has enjoyed considerable success in Incheon, winning the Superstar Challenge here last year before successfully capturing the same title again at APT Championship 2025 in the Superstar Championship.

Kurashina Adds Third APT Title in Event #57: Fixed Limit Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O) – Oceans

Kurashina gets his hands on his third APT title

Japanese pro Kenji Kurashina added another piece of APT silverware to his collection after taking down the 37-entry Event #57: Fixed Limit Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O) – Oceans, earning KRW 3,300,710 (~USD 2,341) for the victory.

Fellow Japanese players Yuki Sato and Fumihiro Yasoshima ensured a clean sweep of the top three spots. Sato collected KRW 2,260,000 (~USD 1,603) as runner-up, with Yasoshima taking third for KRW 1,440,000 (~USD 1,021).

Hamamoto Captures Maiden APT Title in Event #58: Masters Fixed Limit Draw Poker

Hamamoto finds his first APT title in Incheon

Japanese pro Kenji Hamamoto broke through for his maiden APT title after taking down Event #58: Masters Fixed Limit Draw Poker, earning KRW 22,944,000 (~USD 16,272) for the victory.

With over USD 200,000 in live tournament earnings to his name, Hamamoto already had plenty of experience under his belt heading into the contest. The Japanese pro made his latest deep run count, going all the way in Incheon to add a first piece of APT silverware to his résumé.

It was a Japanese clean sweep of the top four spots, with Hirotaka Murakami coming closest to the title before settling for second and KRW 16,590,000 (~USD 11,766). Kazuhiro Shirasawa took third for KRW 10,700,000 (~USD 7,589).

Honda Bests Massive Field in Event #60: NL - Hold'em

Honda comes out on top after a five-way deal

Japan's Keishiro Honda came out on top of one of the largest side-event fields of APT Incheon 2026, conquering the 300-entry Event #60: NL - Hold'em to claim his maiden APT title and KRW 30,841,840 (~USD 21,873).

The final five players agreed to an ICM deal that redistributed the remaining prize money. Honda ultimately emerged as the last player standing, turning the deep run into the biggest live tournament score of his career and his first piece of APT silverware.

The deal resulted in several players taking home more prize money than their eventual finishing positions. China's Liyang Ge officially finished runner-up for KRW 20,366,000 (~USD 14,444), while Japan's Takashi Akita took third and KRW 22,460,000 (~USD 15,929).

Canada's Graeme Gordon and Thailand's Wutikrai Phraikhieo were the other beneficiaries of the five-way deal, collecting KRW 19,478,000 (~USD 13,814) and KRW 20,808,000 (~USD 14,757) for fourth and fifth place respectively.

Kakigi Joins the Winners' Circle in Event #61: Women's Event - Big Bounty

_Kakigi proves her mettle by winning her first APT title

Japan's Yuka Kakigi secured her maiden APT title after coming out on top of the 55-entry Event #61: Women's Event - Big Bounty, walking away with a combined KRW 5,860,880 (~USD 4,157) in prize money and bounties. Kakigi earned KRW 3,460,880 (~USD 2,455) for her first-place finish and added another KRW 2,400,000 (~USD 1,702) in bounties,

Fellow Japanese player Natsuki Kawazoi finished runner-up for KRW 2,500,000 (~USD 1,773) and supplemented her prize with KRW 800,000 (~USD 567) in bounties. China's Zixuan Zhou took third for KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,135), but proved the most prolific bounty hunter among the top finishers, collecting an additional KRW 1,400,000 (~USD 993).

Sakamoto Scores Maiden APT Title and Career-Best Cash in Event #62: Turbo - PL Omaha High - Lazy Rivers

Sakamoto rides the river for his first APT title

Japan's Hiroki Sakamoto secured his maiden APT title after taking down Event #62: Turbo - PL Omaha High - Lazy Rivers, earning KRW 7,740,662 (~USD 5,490) for the victory.

Sakamoto made his latest opportunity count in Incheon, battling his way to the top to claim his first piece of APT silverware while also recording the biggest live tournament cash of his career.

Switzerland's Martin Schamaunn came closest to denying Sakamoto the victory, eventually settling for second place and KRW 5,350,000 (~USD 3,794). Thai pro and former APT Main Event champion Punnat Punsri was gunning for the seventh APT title of his decorated record at the Tour, but his latest trophy bid ended in third place. Punsri collected KRW 3,420,000 (~USD 2,426) for the result.

Hsu Reaches Double-Digit APT Titles in Event #64: Turbo - NL Drawmaha Mix

Hsu reaches 10 titles in the Asian Poker Tour

Taiwanese pro and mixed-games expert Li Ta Hsu reached a major milestone after taking down Event #64: Turbo - NL Drawmaha Mix, earning KRW 5,211,485 (~USD 3,696) and the tenth APT title of his career.

No stranger to success across the APT's varied mixed-game formats, Hsu once again demonstrated his prowess in Incheon. When play reached the final three, Hsu, Finland's Riku Matias Koivurinne, and Malaysia's Jin Ling Yong agreed to an ICM deal before playing on for the title and trophy.

Hsu ultimately emerged victorious to take his APT trophy tally into double digits. Koivurinne finished runner-up and Yong took third, with both players collecting KRW 3,490,000 (~USD 2,475) as part of the deal.

The result added another deep run to Koivurinne's festival after final-table appearances in Events #49 and #62, while Yong had previously taken fourth in Event #40: Fixed Limit - Dealer's Choice - 7 Card Stud.

Nepom Breaks Through in Event #65: Hyper Turbo Home Games - Atomic Pineapple

Nepom takes down his first APT title

American pro Jacob E Nepom secured his maiden APT title after coming out on top of the 63-entry Event #65: Hyper Turbo Home Games - Atomic Pineapple, earning KRW 2,930,806 (~USD 2,079) for the victory.

Nepom had already come close to APT silverware earlier in the festival, reaching the final table of Event #15: Dealer's Choice before finishing fourth. The American went better this time around, seeing off the field in the crowd favourite Atomic Pineapple format to finally capture his first APT trophy.

Thailand's Viralphach Anuphatanavarat was Nepom's final obstacle, eventually taking second place for KRW 2,120,000 (~USD 1,504). Japan's Ohta Shiokawa secured third and KRW 1,380,000 (~USD 979).

Sun Rises in Event #66: Hyper Turbo - High Roller

Sun brings home his first APT title

Chinese pro Wei Sun captured his maiden APT title after emerging victorious from the 72-entry Event #66: Hyper Turbo - High Roller, banking KRW 28,409,200 (~USD 20,148) for his efforts.

Sun successfully navigated the fast-paced high roller field to convert his latest deep run into a first piece of APT silverware, with the victory also delivering a sizeable five-figure payday.

Japan's Yuto Oba pushed Sun all the way before eventually settling for second place and KRW 20,470,000 (~USD 14,518). China's Nan Zhao secured third for KRW 13,300,000 (~USD 9,433).

Zhang Doubles Up at APT Incheon in Event #67: Super Hyper Turbo - NLH

Zhang makes it two for the festival

American pro Frank Zhang secured his second title of APT Incheon 2026 after topping the 120-entry Event #67: Super Hyper Turbo - NLH, earning KRW 8,462,688 (~USD 6,002) for the victory.

Zhang had already broken through for his maiden APT title earlier in the festival with victory in Event #12: Masters Omaha - PL Omaha High. He has remained a regular presence at the business end of events since, including a runner-up finish in Event #27: Turbo - Double Stack, and has now added a second piece of APT silverware to his Incheon haul.

Japan's Takumi Odani finished runner-up for KRW 5,710,000 (~USD 4,050), improving on his ninth-place finish in Event #51: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty earlier in the festival. Compatriot Yusei Shido took third place for KRW 3,710,000 (~USD 2,631).
