INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 8, 2026– With the opening day now in the books, APT Incheon 2026 rolls into Day 2 at Paradise City with the action continuing to build across the tournament floor.
Another packed slate of events awaits as players from across the region and beyond return to the felt, with more APT trophies up for grabs and the ten-day festival beginning to gather momentum.

Ngo Captures Second APT Title in Event #11: Single Day High Roller
Globetrotter Ngo with his second APT title
Vietnamese pro Khoa Anh Ngo added another APT trophy to his collection after taking down Event #11: Single Day High Roller, earning KRW 52,870,000 (~USD 37,496) for the victory. Ngo, who is approaching USD 3 million in live tournament earnings, secured the second APT title of his career with the win.
Japan's Tadahiro Nakashima finished runner-up for KRW 36,550,000 (~USD 25,922), marking his second cash in as many days at the festival after finishing third in Event #6: Turbo - High Roller on Day 1. Relatively new to the APT circuit and still searching for his maiden title, Nakashima's runner-up payday marked the biggest live tournament score of his career.
Fellow Japanese player Sho Miura rounded out the podium for KRW 23,330,000 (~USD 16,546), also recording the biggest live tournament cash of his career. Miura was another player making his second final table of the festival, having finished fifth in Event #3: Single Day High Roller on Day 1.

Zhang Breaks Through for Maiden APT Title in Event #12: Masters Omaha - PL Omaha High
Zhang takes down his first APT title
American pro Frank Zhang broke through for his maiden APT title after taking down Event #12: Masters Omaha - PL Omaha High, earning KRW 13,428,000 (~USD 9,523) for the victory.
Zhang came agonisingly close to surpassing his career-best live tournament cash with the result, but still walked away with a significant payday and, more importantly, his first piece of APT silverware.
Serial winner Qibang Cheung was looking to continue his remarkable run of claiming an APT trophy at every APT festival he has attended. The British pro was hunting for his ninth APT title but had to settle for second place and KRW 9,250,000 (~USD 6,560). Japan's Mita Hayato rounded out the podium for KRW 5,900,000 (~USD 4,184), improving on his runner-up finish in Event #5: Turbo - NL Omaha High on Day 1.

Arai Turns First Live Cash Into Victory in Event #13: Fixed Limit - Choose Your Own Adventure
Arai makes a homerun on his first bat
Japanese amateur Takumi Arai made his first recorded live tournament cash one to remember after taking down Event #13: Fixed Limit - Choose Your Own Adventure, earning KRW 3,550,902 (~USD 2,518) for the victory.
With no recorded live cashes prior to this event, Arai went all the way in Incheon to secure both his first live tournament payday and maiden APT title in one fell swoop.
Russia's Pavel Platonov finished runner-up for KRW 2,570,000 (~USD 1,823), continuing an impressive start to his maiden APT festival after also finishing second in Event #2: PL Omaha 5 Card - Hi-Lo (Big O) on Day 1. Japan's Koshi Kitao rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,640,000 (~USD 1,163).

Sun Continues to Shine in Incheon with Victory in Event #14: Women's Event
Sun makes it five in South Korea
China's Yue Sun continued her remarkable record in Women's Events at APT Incheon after taking down Event #14: Women's Event, earning KRW 4,171,113 (~USD 2,958) and her fifth APT title.
Sun made a name for herself at last year's edition of APT Incheon by winning an impressive three Women's Events during the festival. She picked up where she left off on her return to Paradise City, adding yet another Women's Event trophy to her collection and bringing her overall APT title tally to five. All five of her APT titles have been on Korean soil.
Fellow Chinese player Qinyuan Fang finished runner-up for KRW 3,020,000 (~USD 2,142), while Japan's Fumi Kihara rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,950,000 (~USD 1,383).

Liu Goes Two-for-Two With Victory in Event #15: Dealer's Choice
Liu is on a roll in Incheon
China's Ziwen Liu continued his flying start to APT Incheon 2026 after taking down Event #15: Dealer's Choice, earning KRW 8,255,763 (~USD 5,855) for the victory.
The Chinese pro and APT circuit regular has now won two events in Incheon, having already claimed victory in Event #5: Turbo - NL Omaha High on Day 1. Liu entered the series with four APT titles to his name and has quickly boosted that tally to six with a pair of victories across the opening two days.
Fellow Chinese player Yu Xin C finished runner-up for KRW 5,970,000 (~USD 4,234), while Hong Kong's Chak Sum Wong rounded out the podium in third for KRW 3,800,000 (~USD 2,695).

Shalaev Strikes Again in Event #16: Turbo - NL Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo - Cry Me A River
Shalaev is on a blistering run in Incheon
Russia's Daniil Shalaev continued his flying start to APT Incheon 2026 by taking down Event #16: Turbo - NL Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo - Cry Me A River, earning KRW 3,910,844 (~USD 2,774) for the victory.
The win marked Shalaev's second title of the festival in as many days after he opened his campaign by triumphing in Event #2: PL Omaha 5 Card - Hi-Lo (Big O). Having entered the festival with seven APT titles, the tour regular has now boosted his tally to nine with back-to-back victories in Incheon.
British pro Qibang Cheung finished runner-up for KRW 2,690,000 (~USD 1,908), remarkably marking his second runner-up finish of the day after also placing second in Event #12: Masters Omaha - PL Omaha High. Still hunting for his ninth APT title, Cheung came agonisingly close on two occasions on Day 2. Japan's Yuichi Kanai rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,720,000 (~USD 1,220).

Gomi Turns First Recorded Live Cash Into Victory in Event #17: Turbo - NLH
Gomi's first live cash is also his first APT title
Japan's Akira Gomi made his first recorded live tournament cash one to remember after taking down Event #17: Turbo - NLH, earning KRW 11,711,296 (~USD 8,306) for the victory.
With no recorded live tournament cashes prior to this event, Gomi went all the way in Incheon to turn his first recorded payday into a maiden APT title and trophy.
Fellow Japanese player Hyuma Igarashi finished runner-up for KRW 8,200,000 (~USD 5,816), narrowly missing out on a second title of the festival after winning Event #6: Turbo - High Roller on Day 1. Canada's Tyler Adams rounded out the podium in third for KRW 5,410,000 (~USD 3,837).

Zhang Breaks Through for Maiden APT Title in Event #18: Hyper Turbo - No Limit - 7 Card Stud
Zhang captures his first APT title
Chinese player and APT circuit regular Shoumin Zhang secured his maiden APT title after taking down Event #18: Hyper Turbo - No Limit - 7 Card Stud, earning KRW 2,060,000 (~USD 1,461) for the victory.
A familiar face on the APT circuit, Zhang had yet to get his hands on an APT trophy before arriving in Incheon, but changed that with victory here to finally add his first piece of APT silverware to his résumé.
Zhang and fellow Chinese player Qing Liu struck a deal once play reached heads-up, with Liu taking the larger KRW 3,100,588 (~USD 2,199) payday for second place, while Zhang took home KRW 2,060,000 (~USD 1,461) along with the title and trophy. American Hal Oscar Rotholz rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,320,000 (~USD 936).

Thongprasert takes down her first APT title
Thailand's Nujuta Thongprasert secured her maiden APT title after taking down Event #19: Super Hyper Turbo - NLH, earning KRW 7,052,150 (~USD 5,001) for the victory.
Thongprasert had recorded just two APT cashes prior to the victory, including a payday in this festival's Korea National Cup. The Thai player made her latest deep run count, going all the way to capture her first piece of APT silverware.
Japan's Kai Uto finished runner-up for KRW 4,950,000 (~USD 3,511), while compatriot Ryuki Shikano rounded out the podium in third for KRW 3,270,000 (~USD 2,319).
