INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 7, 2026– The action is officially underway at APT Incheon 2026, with the opening day of the ten-day festival at Paradise City seeing the first batch of players hit the felt in pursuit of APT silverware. With plenty of poker played across the opening slate, it did not take long for the first champions of the series to emerge.
And there is plenty more to come over the days ahead, with the festival only just beginning to gather momentum. A packed schedule awaits players in Incheon, with ten days of action offering countless opportunities to chase trophies, titles, and huge prizes as APT Incheon 2026 begins to shift into gear.

Maxim Sorokin Makes Winning Start in Event #3: Single Day High Roller
Sorokin makes a head start at APT Incheon 2026
Russian pro Maxim Sorokin made a winning start to his APT Incheon 2026 campaign after taking down Event #3: Single Day High Roller, earning KRW 32,608,000 (~USD 23,126) for the victory. Sorokin, who boasts over USD 770,000 in live tournament earnings, secured his second APT title of the year with the win, adding another piece of APT silverware to his collection.
American pro Kyung Min Lee was also in pursuit of his second APT title but ultimately had to settle for the runner-up spot, taking home KRW 22,470,000 (~USD 15,936).
Japan's Waichiro Oka was looking to claim his maiden APT title but fell just short in third. His KRW 14,320,000 (~USD 10,156) payday still marked his biggest cash on the tour to date.

Daniil Shalaev Claims Eighth APT Title in Event #2: PL Omaha 5 Card - Hi-Lo (Big O)
Shalaev makes it eight APT titles in his poker career
Russian tour regular Daniil Shalaev added another APT trophy to his collection after taking down Event #2: PL Omaha 5 Card - Hi-Lo (Big O), earning KRW 6,149,538 (~USD 4,361) for the victory. Shalaev entered the festival with seven APT titles already to his name and further strengthened his impressive record on the tour by securing title number eight.
Fellow Russian Pavel Platonov finished runner-up for KRW 5,401,000 (~USD 3,830). The amateur is making his first appearance on the APT and came within just USD 30 of matching his best-ever live tournament cash. Shalaev and Platonov agreed to an ICM deal once play reached heads-up, before Shalaev ultimately emerged victorious to claim the title.
Japan's Abe Yusuke was also in pursuit of another piece of APT silverware. The two-time APT title holder ultimately had to settle for third place, collecting KRW 3,000,000 (~USD 2,128).

Lo Lands Second APT Title in Event #4: Fixed Limit - Triple Draw Mix
Lo starts his run strong with his second APT title on Day 1
Hong Kong pro Jeffrey Lo added another APT trophy to his collection after taking down Event #4: Fixed Limit - Triple Draw Mix, earning KRW 7,800,720 (~USD 5,532) for the victory.
Lo, who is closing in on USD 1 million in live tournament earnings, secured the second APT title of his career with the victory, adding another accolade to an already impressive poker résumé.
China's Yu Xin Niu finished runner-up for KRW 5,630,000 (~USD 3,993), while fellow Hong Kong player Hiu Tung Chan rounded out the podium in third for KRW 3,590,000 (~USD 2,546).

Liu Lands Fifth APT Title in Event #5: Turbo - NL Omaha High
Liu off to a great start with fifth APT title
Chinese pro and APT circuit regular Ziwen Liu added another trophy to his collection after taking down Event #5: Turbo - NL Omaha High, earning KRW 3,494,665 (~USD 2,478) for the victory. Liu, who recently surpassed USD 100,000 in live tournament earnings, secured his fifth APT title with the win.
Japan's Mita Hayato finished runner-up for KRW 2,330,000 (~USD 1,652), while China's Dajia Chen rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,498,000 (~USD 1,062).

Igarashi Breaks Through for Maiden APT Title in Event #6: Turbo - High Roller
Igarashi finally takes one over the line for his first APT title
Japanese player Hyuma Igarashi finally broke through for his maiden APT title after taking down Event #6: Turbo - High Roller, earning KRW 11,126,000 (~USD 7,891) for the victory.
Igarashi had come close to APT glory on several occasions this year but was finally able to go all the way in Incheon, turning his latest deep run into a first APT trophy.
It was an all-Japanese affair in the top four, with Junko Hirai finishing runner-up for KRW 7,420,000 (~USD 5,262), Tadahiro Nakashima taking third for KRW 4,770,000 (~USD 3,383), and Naoki Tasaka rounding out the results in fourth for KRW 3,180,000 (~USD 2,255).

Makino Claims Maiden APT Title in Event #7: Hyper Turbo Home Games - Super Holdem
Makino takes home first APT title
Japanese amateur Kensuke Makino made his first recorded APT cash one to remember after taking down Event #7: Hyper Turbo Home Games - Super Holdem, earning KRW 2,190,573 (~USD 1,554) for the victory.
Makino marked his first trip to the APT payout desk in perfect fashion, going all the way to claim his maiden APT title and trophy.
Fellow Japanese player Arisa Nakashima finished runner-up for KRW 1,509,700 (~USD 1,071), while China's Yujie Sun rounded out the podium in third for KRW 962,100 (~USD 682).

Hattori Marks First Live Cash With Victory in Event #8: Hyper Turbo - NL - Single Draw Mix
Hattori's first live cash is a successful one
Japan's Jutaro Hattori made his first recorded live tournament cash one to remember after taking down Event #8: Hyper Turbo - NL - Single Draw Mix, earning KRW 1,690,281 (~USD 1,199) for the victory.
With no recorded live tournament cashes prior to this event, Hattori went all the way on his first trip to the payout desk, securing his maiden APT title and trophy in the process.
Martijn Johannes Gerrits of the Netherlands finished runner-up for KRW 1,130,000 (~USD 801), adding another deep run after already finishing fourth in Event #2: PL Omaha 5 Card - Hi-Lo (Big O) earlier in the day. China's Jianlun Hu rounded out the podium in third for KRW 700,000 (~USD 496).

Wang Breaks Through for Maiden APT Title in Event #9: Super Hyper Turbo – NLH
Wang makes a breaktrough on the Tour with his first APT title
APT circuit regular from China Yi Wang secured his maiden APT title after taking down Event #9: Super Hyper Turbo – NLH, earning KRW 4,881,299 (~USD 3,462) for the victory.
A familiar face on the APT circuit, Wang had yet to add an APT trophy to his résumé, but changed that in Incheon by going all the way to claim his first piece of APT silverware.
Japan's Yoshiyuki Fujiwara finished runner-up for KRW 3,520,000 (~USD 2,496), while Hong Kong's Man Ho Wong rounded out the podium in third for KRW 2,270,000 (~USD 1,610).
