TAIPEI, TAIWAN, November 25, 2025– Day 12 of the APT Championship 2025 marked another milestone moment inside Red Space, as the #1011 [Event 11] APT Championship Main Event Freezeout officially closed registration and set new standards for the tour. With numbers that surpassed all expectations and rewrote the record books, the Main Event has cemented itself as the biggest and most significant tournament ever held in the APT New Era.

While the spotlight shone brightly on the Main Event’s historic turnout, the action didn’t slow elsewhere. The #1012 [Event 12] Mini Main Event Championship – Flight A got underway today, drawing a fresh wave of players eager to secure an early bag and take their first step towards another highly anticipated Championship title.

APTC Main Event Edges Closer to Money

The APTC Main Event Freezeout officially locked in a staggering 671 entries, generating a massive TWD 194,080,973 (~USD 6.2 million) prize pool — making it the biggest and richest USD 10K freezeout outside of Las Vegas in the past decade. After two days of play, the field has now been trimmed to 135 survivors, including Dohang Na, chipleader of Day 2, as well as Julian-Andrew Warhurst, Dylan Wayne Foster, Erik Seidel, and Steve O’Dwyer, all returning for Day 3 where they will battle for a coveted place among the 95 ITM spots.

APT Blogger Kai Cocklin also released a comprehensive feature today titled “The Asian Poker Tour Continues to Prove Nothing Is Impossible,” chronicling how the APTC Main Event shattered expectations and rewrote the record books. The article reflects on the tour’s dramatic rise over the past three years, the historic scale of the TWD 194M (~USD 6.2M) prize pool, the massive Step 2 Mega Satellite, and the industry voices now calling this event “the Asian Main Event.” You can read the full breakdown of this historic moment here.

All remaining players have already locked up an ITM finish and will return on Thursday, 27 November, to battle it out on the final day for the next Championship title. The action continues tomorrow with Flights B, C, and D, giving the rest of the field their chance to join the advancing pack.

Over in the side events, Event #125: High Roller – Single Re-Entry kicked off its first of two days and drew an impressive 256 entries, marking one of the largest high-roller fields of the festival.
