Double Board - Hold'em

This Double Board is a Texas Hold’em variant where each player is dealt two hole-cards but there are two boards of community cards for players to make their best five-card hand from. Depending on the rules of the event, this variant can be played with one or two winners.

How it’s Dealt:
Pre-flop: At the start of each hand, players are dealt their two hole-cards followed by a round of betting.
The Flop: After the pre-flop action is complete, the dealer will burn a single card and then deal a standard three-card flop, followed immediately by another standard three-card flop underneath starting two separate boards.
The Turn: Once betting on the flop is complete, the dealer will burn a single card and deal a turn card for the top board and a turn card for the bottom board.
The River: When betting action is completed for the turn, the dealer will burn a single card and deal a river card for the top board and a river card for the bottom board, completing both boards.

This variation can be played with either a single winner, or as a split pot game where there is a winner for each board. A player can “Scoop” if they have the best five-card poker hands for both the top and the bottom board.

The Showdown:
• If the game is played as single winner, the best five-card poker hand from either board will win the entire pot. In the event of identical winning hands, the pot will be equally divided between the players with the best hands.
• If the game is a double winner, half the pot is awarded to the player with the best hand using the top board and the other half is awarded to the player with the best hand using the bottom board. In the event of two or more players having the same hands, the pot halves will be split accordingly. In the event of an odd chip during the split, it is awarded to the hand that wins the top board. In the event of an odd chip during the split of either the top or bottom board, it is awarded to the first active player immediately clockwise from the button.
