The floor was already counting out chips after two players were all in and covered by Dakota Anderson in the small blind. Chi Wa Cheng was in an early position and Han Ming Feng sitting to his direct left, both with their entire stacks at risk.

Feng scooped the pot after hitting trip queens on the 6 5 Q Q 3 runnout, and Cheng picked up the side pot. Anderson was left counting out his bleeding stack after entering as one of the chip leaders, with his big slick not enough to hold.

Flight 1E chip leader Dakota Anderson opened to 80,000 from the hijack before cutoff Hocheungjorge Leung jammed for 205,000. Anderson, still sitting on a commanding stack of around 1,500,000, quickly put in the call.

Hocheungjorge Leung: A J

Dakota Anderson: T T

Leung's phone was out and recording his fate as the dealer fanned the 8 K A flop, his face lighting up as the ace gave him the best of it.

The 5 4 runout changed nothing, and Anderson parted with a small chunk of chips as Leung lived to fight out another hand.

Chien Chih Weng.jpg Chien Chih Weng

Chien Chih Weng was in the small blind and had just 35,000 behind. The action cautiously folded around the table with players eyeing up her stack.

Weng used a time bank, as players were nearing a pay jump, before committing her remaining chips to the pot.

Yoong Shen Ding was her opponent in the big blind and called before sweating and slowly peeling his own hand, turning over his pocket pair.

Chien Chih Weng: J 7

Yoong Shen Ding: 3 3

Weng needed to improve to stay alive, and she didn't have to wait long as she pickd up a jack on the 5 A J flop.

There was a little sweat on the 4 turn, as Ding improved to a straight draw, but she secured the double after seeing the 7 come on the river.

The Flight 1B chip leader sacrificed some chips in a recent hand. Sat in the big blind, Ngamsiri Asiralertsiri called hijack Waratch Saengprachum's open-shove for 330,000 in a battle of the Thais.

Waratch Saengprachum: A J

Ngamsiri Asiralertsiri: 8 8

The J window card was a relief for Saengprachum, coming out on the correct side of the flip. The remaining 3 4 9 Q board was safe, and he secured the full double through his compatriot.

Hyundong Climbs Back Up

posted by Laura

Lee Hyundong had climbed from his returning 170,000 stack and opened to around 200,000 from under the gun, leaving himself just 40,000 behind.

Action folded around to Fan Zhang on the button and he was the only caller.

A 4 6 3 flop saw Hyundong snap jam for his remaining stack and Zhang flipped over his hand to call.

Lee Hyundong: A Q Fan Zhang: A J

Hyundong was sitting comfortably looking at a flush draw, which came in on the 6 turn.

A 2 river didn't change anything and Hyundong secured an early double up.

Chang Ho Hwang opened to 60,000 from the hijack and table short-stack Kai Cheng Hsu jammed for his remaining 185,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Hwang swiftly tossed in the call.

Kai Cheng Hsu: 3 3

Chang Ho Hwang: A 6

Hsu was out of his seat before the K A 9 flop had even hit the felt, and the K J runout provided no salvation. The Taiwanese pro was sent to the rail in 118th place, having just made the TWD 5,700 ladder up to a cash of TWD 46,900.

Yokoo Misses Out Big

posted by Callum

Level 24: Blinds 15K / 30K - Ante 30K

Kazuyoshi Yokoo raised to 70,000 from early position before Chi Jen Chen three-bet jammed from the cutoff for 635,000. Pongsorn Thanarattrakul then shoved behind from the button with his covering stack of 1,000,000.

Yokoo went into the tank, asked for a count, and ultimately sent his cards back to the dealer. "Aces?" Chen asked Thanarattrakul as they tabled their hands.

Chi Jen Chen: A K

Pongsorn Thanarattrakul: A K

Both players had Big Slick, and a chop was likely before the flop was even dealt. Yokoo was not impressed.

"My pocket pair is good!" he quipped, as the dealer fanned the T Q 4 flop. "Set!!" he added, as the 8 6 runout completed the board and the two players took back their stacks, with the Japanese player having missed out on a double KO.
