MANILA, PHILIPPINES, October 29, 2024 – Japan’s John Matsuda, a seasoned player with over USD 300,000 in live earnings, captured the title in Event #11: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty. Matsuda took down a challenging field of 55 high rollers (42 unique) to win PHP 964,950 (~USD 16,404) along with an additional PHP 1,050,000 (~USD 17,850) in bounties, bringing his total winnings to PHP 2,014,950 (~USD 34,254).
Natural8 ambassador and Birthday Boy Nevan Chang from Taiwan, fresh off his victory in Event #8: Turbo - High Roller, finished as the runner-up, earning PHP 698,000 (~USD 11,866) plus PHP 430,000 (~USD 7,310) in bounties. Japan’s Jun Obara took third, claiming PHP 450,000 (~USD 7,650) with an additional PHP 500,000 (~USD 8,500) in bounties.
The United State’s Joseph Sanghyon Cheong, APT’s all time money list topper WSOP bracelet winner, came in fourth, narrowly missing out on a podium finish.

Russia’s Daniil Shalaev, a familiar face on the poker circuit, triumphed in Event #12: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O), securing the top prize of PHP 178,448 (~USD 3,033). Shalaev outlasted a field of 28 entries (10 unique) to earn his latest title.
Taiwan’s Shao Me Yang continued his impressive series with a second final table appearance, finishing as the runner-up with PHP 123,000 (~USD 2,091) after winning Event #3: PL Omaha High earlier in the series. Australia’s Alex Tchong rounded out the top three, claiming PHP 79,000 (~USD 1,343).

Japan’s Daijiro Tomoto, a regular on the Asian poker circuit, claimed his first APT title in Event #13: Turbo - Double Stack. Tomoto outlasted a field of 45 entries (41 unique) to secure the top prize of PHP 76,853 (~USD 1,306), marking a major milestone in his poker career.
South Korea’s Hyunyeop Jeong finished as the runner-up, earning PHP 54,000 (~USD 918), while Thailand’s Saran Chaliowwong rounded out the top three with PHP 34,000 (~USD 578).

Japan’s Shion Ogawa captured his first APT title in Event #16: Turbo - NL Omaha High, outlasting a field of 26 entries (21 unique) to claim the top prize of PHP 120,517 (~USD 2,048). This victory marks a significant milestone for Ogawa as he adds an APT title to his poker accomplishments.

Young gun Sean Ooi sweeps up for his second APT title.
Malaysian young gun Sean Ooi, a seasoned pro with over USD 1 million in live cashes, secured his second APT title in Event #17: Hyper Turbo - High Roller. Ooi outlasted a competitive field of 36 high rollers (21 unique) to win the top prize of PHP 290,700 (~USD 4,941). He adds his second APT trophy to his collection after his last victory at ATP Taipei 2023 in the Single Day High Roller event.
Mongolia’s Ankhbayar Davaatseren finished in second place, taking home PHP 200,000 (~USD 3,400), while Hong Kong’s Horace Leung rounded out the top three with PHP 128,000 (~USD 2,176).

Ranked third on the Philippines all-time money list, Edoc outlasted a field of 36 entries (33 unique) to win the top prize of PHP 90,043 (~USD 1,530), adding another title to his extensive APT achievements.
The United Kingdom’s Ashley Jordan Patterson made his second final table appearance of the series, finishing as the runner-up with PHP 62,000 (~USD 1,054), following his strong showing in Event #1: Philippines National Cup.
