PHU QUOC, VIETNAM, March 30, 2023 – The numbers are in for the APT Phu Quoc ₫30,000,000+3,000,000 Main Event with the tournament smashing the ₫10-billion (~$420,000) guarantee and drawing a 507-strong field comprised of 284 unique players – setting a new record for the Phu Quoc leg of the tour.

Playing out at the Sapphire Conference Room at the luxurious Corona Resort & Casino, a further 25 players joined the Day 2 Main Event field before the tournament got underway at 12pm local time.

These late entries swelled the Day 2 field to 231 players, all looking to earn their share of the ₫14,753,700,000 (~$619,655) prize pool.

A min-cash is good for ₫56,060,000 ($2,350), but all will be firmly focused on claiming the **₫2,847,540,000 ($119,600) top prize**.

All Main Event payouts with USD currency conversions can be viewed HERE.

Action restarted on level 11, with blinds recommencing at 800/1,600 with a 1,600 big blind ante. The action played out over eight 60-minute levels, with play concluding on level 19 as the players fought their way through to the 71 paying positions and beyond.

The money bubble was reached and breached midway through level 17, with Vietnam's Trinh Anh Dung departing in the most unenviable position in poker after his queen-jack was unable to overcome John "Bert" Perry's eight-seven, with the Australian pairing his seven on the flop to guarantee all 71 surviving players a cash reward.

The one silver lining for Dung was the fact he was wise enough to register on time on Flight B and take his seat before play started, entitling him to Main Event Bubble Protection. Dung will be credited with a ticket to a future APT Main Event – which just goes to show it pays to get protected.

It is Vietnam's Julien Tran who leads the 48 remaining Main Event survivors after bagging up a stack of 1,045,000. Tran enjoyed a great day at the felt, spinning his 29K start-of-day stack up to seven figures to narrowly pip France's Matthieu Lamagnere for the end-of-day lead.

Lamagnere will return second in the counts with a stack of 1,017,000 and was the only other player to crack 1 million in chips.

The USA's Peter Kiem (956,000) rounds out the top three, with the top ten stacks as follows:
