JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, October 4, 2025– The two-day Event #89: Ultra Stack at APT Jeju 2025 attracted a strong field of 254 entries across three starting flights. With a deep 100,000-chip starting stack and a total of KRW 179,200,000 (~USD 128,000) prize pool on the line, the day’s play went down to 14% of each field, ensuring all survivors secured an in-the-money finish. A total of 37 survivors will now return for the Final Day to battle for the trophy and a share of the prize pool.

Flight A produced the largest overall stack of the day, with China’s Yanlin Wu bagging an impressive 2,530,000 chips. He enters the Final Day as the man to beat and will carry significant momentum. Hong Kong’s Chingnam Chan also impressed, securing a healthy 1,590,000 chips to position himself among the top contenders. Meanwhile, China’s Gaoyuan Xu is close with 915,000 chips, ensuring he too will be a force when play resumes.

Flight B chipleader Yifeng Qian
Flight B saw another standout performance from the Chinese contingent, as Yifeng Qian topped the session with 1,845,000 chips. Trailing behind was fellow countryman Jiabao Cai, who kept pace with 1,390,000 chips after a steady climb throughout the day. Rounding out the top three was Juncai Han, also from China, who advanced with a solid 1,080,000 in chips, giving the nation a clean sweep of the podium in this flight.

Flight C
Flight C chipleader Kota Inooka
Flight C featured more international diversity at the top of the leaderboard. Japan’s Kota Inooka emerged as the biggest stack of the group with 1,470,000 chips, marking him as one of the top stacks overall. Taiwan’s Hua Wei Lin bagged 1,295,000, further building on his strong series showing so far. Thailand’s Tharit Nanthana also made a case for himself after day’s play, closing with 940,000 chips to take his place among the chip leaders coming into the Final Day.

Zhang Breaks Through in Event #91: Dealer’s Choice Masters
Zhang gets one over the line for his first APT title to go along with his five cashes this series
The Dealer’s Choice Masters saw a competitive field of 27 entries take their shot in one of the festival’s mixed game highlights. China’s Lante Zhang, who had already recorded an impressive five cashes this series, finally converted consistency into silverware. Zhang captured his first APT title, overcoming a tough final lineup to bank KRW 11,982,000 (~USD 8,559).
Fellow countryman Zehao Li, himself a proven mixed game contender, secured the runner-up spot for KRW 7,980,000 (~USD 5,700). Hong Kong’s Horace Leung, who earlier added a second APT title in Event #87: Hyper Turbo – High Roller, added another deep run to his series, taking third place for KRW 5,130,000 (~USD 3,664).

Shoji Claims First Title in Event #92: NL Hold’em – Freezeout
Shoji makes good on his first deep run this series for his first APT title
Japan’s Seiya Shoji secured a career milestone at APT Jeju 2025 by winning Event #92: NL Hold’em – Freezeout. The event drew 85 entries, with 11 players reaching the money, and Shoji outlasted the competition to capture his first-ever APT title along with a top prize of KRW 24,340,000 (~USD 17,386).
The tournament concluded with an ICM deal at heads-up play, which left KRW 876,000 and the trophy to play for. Shoji prevailed in the final showdown, while fellow countryman Kohei Suzuki secured the larger payout of KRW 27,500,000 (~USD 19,643) for second place due to the deal.
China’s Difei Wu completed the podium, earning KRW 14,100,000 (~USD 10,071) for his third-place finish.

Zhou Shines in Event #93: Women’s Event
Zhou wins the final women's event of APT Jeju 2025
The final Women’s Event of APT Jeju 2025 brought together a field of 27 entries, capping off the series’ ladies’ tournaments. China’s Yuhua Zhou emerged victorious, securing her first APT title. Zhou’s composed run through the final stages culminated in a triumph worth KRW 2,720,518 (~USD 1,943).
Fellow compatriot Anqi Luo made a strong push but was ultimately forced to settle for second place and a payday of KRW 1,810,000 (~USD 1,293). Japan’s Mao Yamamura rounded out the podium with a third-place finish for KRW 1,170,000 (~USD 836).

Tran;'s run has been one to watch with four titles in Jeju so far
Austria’s Hanh Tran continued his remarkable form at APT Jeju 2025 by winning Event #94: Limit – Triple Draw Mix. The event attracted 16 entries, with three players making the money, and Tran clinched his fourth career APT title — all coming from mixed games — further cementing his reputation as one of the series’ standout players.
Already boasting three APT titles and two additional cashes earlier in the festival, Tran converted yet another deep run into a championship, earning KRW 4,430,268 (~USD 3,165) for the win.
Hong Kong’s Hoi Man Leung finished runner-up for KRW 2,960,000 (~USD 2,114), while Japan’s Shinya Ueda rounded out the podium, taking home KRW 1,850,000 (~USD 1,321).

Chen gets over the line for his first APT title
China’s Suiyuan Chen captured a memorable win by taking down Event #95: Turbo – PL Omaha High – Stairway to Seven. The tournament drew 25 entries, with four players making the money, and Chen secured his first-ever APT title along with a payday of KRW 3,360,640 (~USD 2,400).
Veteran mixed games specialist Yang Lu added yet another deep run to his résumé, finishing runner-up for KRW 2,240,000 (~USD 1,600). Ming Sun Pau of Hong Kong rounded out the podium in third place, earning KRW 1,440,000 (~USD 1,029).

Puangchompoo Isara Strikes Gold in Event #96: Turbo – Double Stack
Puangchompoo's first live cash is a sweet one, as it comes with his first APT title and lion trophy
The newest APT host wasted no time making his mark. Thailand’s Puangchompoo Isara scored his first-ever live cash in style by taking down Event #96: Turbo – Double Stack for his maiden APT title. The event pulled in 50 entries, with Puangchompoo proving that sometimes it only takes one festival to grab a trophy—unlike a certain other host we know who prefers to just go all-in (yes, we’re looking at you, Greg).
Puangchompoo’s victory came with a payday of KRW 9,085,840 (~USD 6,526) and the all-important lion trophy.
Hong Kong’s Sheung Chau Chan pushed hard but ultimately settled for second place, collecting KRW 6,570,000 (~USD 4,718) for his deep run. Fellow Hong Kong contender Ho Fai Ip rounded out the podium in third, adding KRW 4,190,000 (~USD 3,008) to his series tally.

Tran Doubles Up in Event #97: Hyper Turbo – No Limit – Dealer’s Choice – 5 Card Triple Draw
You're not seeing double; Tran takes down his second trophy of the day, his fifth APT title overall
Austria’s Hanh Tran delivered an unprecedented performance in this series by winning Event #97: Hyper Turbo – No Limit – Dealer’s Choice – 5 Card Triple Draw. The tournament drew 16 entries, with three players finishing in the money, and Tran secured KRW 2,460,409 (~USD 1,758) for the victory.
The result marked Tran’s second title in a single day, an extraordinary achievement on the APT, and brought his tally to five APT titles this series alone, complemented by two additional cashes. His consistent dominance in mixed games has made him one of the standout performers of the festival.
Hong Kong’s Tsz Yeung Ka placed second for KRW 1,640,000 (~USD 1,171), while China’s Weizheng Zhong took third place, banking KRW 1,020,000 (~USD 729).

Yang Victorious in Event #98: Super Hyper Turbo
Yang pulls out all the stops to win his first APT title
Renjun Yang emerged triumphant in Event #98: Super Hyper Turbo at APT Jeju 2025. The event attracted 56 entries, and Yang powered through the fast-paced structure to secure his first APT title.
With this win, Yang is closing in on USD 400,000 in live earnings and adds to what has been a consistent series, having already recorded three other cashes before finally taking one over the line. The title came with a payout of KRW 4,701,254 (~USD 3,376).
Lei Song claimed second place for KRW 3,400,000 (~USD 2,442), while Singapore’s Bao Qiang Ho rounded out the podium in third, earning KRW 2,200,000 (~USD 1,580).
