Tang was ahead and extended his lead as the dealer fanned the K 6 J flop, giving him top pair and leaving Lee needing running cards or a ten to stay alive.

The 7 changed little, and the 2 river bricked, securing Tang a crucial double.

Chih Wei Fan and Ren Lin had their chips in the middle before the flop with Fan at risk for his last 385,000.

Alex Wice

Phacahra Wongwichit opened for 20,000 from early position. Punnat Punsri three-bet to 55,000 on the button. Alex Wice then four-bet to 130,000 on the big blind.

Wongwichit stood down, but Punsri jammed all in, covering the stack of Wice. Wice didn't flinch and snap called.

No ace was found on the board of 2 J Q 6 Q to give Wice a huge double up, while leaving Punsri with crumbs.

Candy Lin and Ren Lin

Candy Lin opened to 20,000 from under the gun and a slightly flustered Punnat Punsri put in the call from the big blind.

Both checked the 8 6 T flop before Punsri led for 55,000 on the 2 turn, with Lin calling.

The A completed the board and Punsri checked, Lin checked behind. Punsri tabled Q 9 for a missed gutshot, but Lin's K 6 took the pot with fourth pair.

Ren Lin praised her for the open.

"Short stack, short stack," she said with a smile.

Daniel Neilson

Action folded to Daniel Neilson on the small blind who shoved his last 30,000 all in. Phachara Wongwichit made the easy call from the big blind.

The board came J 8 5 J 2 to give Neilson trips for a crucial double. However, he is still in critical condition.

Mike Takayama

The hand wasn't witnessed in its entirety, but Ren Lin and last night's Super High Roller champion Mike Takayama were embroiled in a pot on the first hand back from the lunch break. With the final three board cards all spades, Lin got his covering stack in and Takayama called it off, tabling a low flush, only to find himself out-flushed by Lin's higher spades.

Play has resumed from the dinner break with registration officially closed with 26 total entries and 18 players completing the field. The total prize pool hit TWD 19,696,950.

Some of the last minute entries include Mike Takayama, who won last night's APT Super High Roller to mark his 17th APT title. There is also four-time APT winner and APT Superstar Challenge champion Danny Tang. Another notable is Candy Lin, who is an APT Women's Event champion.

The Superstar Challengers are now on a 60-minute lunch break. When they return at 20:40, registration will be open for a further 10 minutes.

Chin Wei Lim

Alex Wice opened for 16,000 from under the gun. Dominik NItsche matched on the button as did Chin Wei Lim on the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of 8 9 7 for the three players.

All checked to show a 6 turn, which all checked again to reveal a 6 river.

This time around, Lim fired 25,000. Wice stood down and Nitsche took a moment longer before finally surrendering.

Jason Mo

Cutoff Haruhiko Shinohara raised to 16,000 and was called by blinds Jason Mo and Dominik Nitsche.

All three opted to check the 5 2 6 flop before Mo led for 27,000 on the 9 turn, with only Nitsche sticking around.

The K river saw Mo place 52,000 into the middle, and after a quick glance at his cards, Nitsche sent them back to the dealer.
