JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, September 30, 2026– Day 6 of APT Jeju 2026 set the stage for another major finale, with a host of decorated APT champions positioning themselves for a run at one of the festival’s biggest side event prizes.

Cheong Leads Event #54: High Roller Going into Final Day

Cheong will be looking to make it all the way in the two-day high roller

The two-day Event #54: High Roller has reached its final stage, with 43 players surviving Day 1 and returning tomorrow to battle for one of the biggest prizes of APT Jeju 2026 for a size event.

Just 27 players will make the money, with a min-cash worth KRW 8,120,000 (~USD 5,993), while a massive KRW 179,790,000 (~USD 132,686) awaits the eventual champion along with a ticket to the APT Championship 2026 Main Event.

Leading the charge is the United States’ Joseph Cheong, who bagged the largest stack of 1,311,000. The only player to have won the Zodiac Classic twice, Cheong is hunting for his sixth APT title and, having yet to taste victory on the APT circuit this season, will be looking to change that on the Final Day.

Sitting close behind with 1,157,000 is popular Indian pro Kunal Patni, who finds himself in a similar position. Patni is chasing his seventh APT title and is also searching for his first APT victory of the year.

Hong Kong’s Ka Chun Tsui rounds out the top three with 1,120,000. Tsui is in pursuit of his second APT title, and should he go all the way tomorrow, the KRW 179,790,000 (~USD 132,686) top prize would represent the biggest score of his career.

Natural8 ambassador Nevan Chang, fresh from winning the Superstar Challenge for his tenth APT title earlier in the series, also remains in contention, although the Taiwanese pro has work to do after ending Day 1 second from bottom in the counts with 119,000.

Hanh Moves to Nine APT Titles With Masters Fixed Limit Draw Poker Victory

Hanh is in reach of double digits after winning his ninth APT title

Austria’s Tran Hanh added yet another trophy to his extensive APT collection after overcoming the 28-entry field in Event #55: Masters Fixed Limit Draw Poker, taking home KRW 13,428,000 (~USD 9,910).

The victory marked Hanh’s ninth career APT title, further adding to the Austrian pro’s impressive record across the Tour’s mixed-game events.

Thailand’s Sorawit Suriyakarn finished runner-up for KRW 9,250,000 (~USD 6,827), while Chinese pro and WSOP bracelet winner Renji Mao took third for KRW 5,900,000 (~USD 4,354).

Yang Turns Career-Best Run Into First APT Crown in Event #56: NL - Hold'em

Yang jubilant with his first APT victory

China’s Su Yang recorded the biggest result of his poker career after taking down Event #56: NL - Hold'em, earning KRW 26,547,765 (~USD 19,592).

The career-best payday saw Yang more than double his previous lifetime live tournament earnings, while also earning him his maiden APT title.

Yang entered heads-up play against compatriot Chen Yu, with the pair agreeing to a straight ICM deal. As the chip leader at the time of the agreement, Yang was awarded the title and trophy, while Yu collected KRW 24,219,000 (~USD 17,874) for his runner-up finish.

Thailand’s Kasidit Sukwongjan rounded out the podium in third for KRW 14,400,000 (~USD 10,627).

Aoi Turns First Career Cash Into Maiden APT Title in Event #57: Women's Event

Aoi's first run into the money resulted in her first APT title

Japan’s Geka Aoi made her first recorded live tournament cash a memorable one, topping the 17-entry field in Event #57: Women's Event to collect KRW 4,045,244 (~USD 2,985).

With no previous live tournament cashes to her name, Aoi went all the way on her first visit to the payout desk, earning her maiden APT title in the process.

China’s Tian Qi finished runner-up for KRW 2,690,000 (~USD 1,985), while the United States’ Tsubasa Mendoza completed the podium in third for KRW 1,680,000 (~USD 1,240).

Chen Claims Second Jeju Trophy and Third APT Title in Event #58: Turbo - NL Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo - Cry Me A River

China’s Suiyuan Chen continued her strong APT Jeju 2026 campaign by topping the 55-entry field in Event #58: Turbo - NL Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo - Cry Me A River, earning KRW 6,770,880 (~USD 4,997).

Chen had already tasted victory earlier in the festival after taking down Event #20: Sunday Super Stack. Her latest success gives her two titles at APT Jeju 2026 and takes her career tally to three APT titles.

Australia’s Jarryd Godena finished runner-up for KRW 4,890,000 (~USD 3,609), while Japan’s Hisatoshi Iida completed the podium in third for KRW 3,160,000 (~USD 2,332).

Platonov Converts for Maiden Title in Event #60: Hyper Turbo - NL Dealer's Choice Stud Mix

Platonov makes good on his latest deep run for his first APT title

Russia’s Pavel Platonov finally turned a string of APT cashes into a trip to the winner’s circle, taking down Event #60: Hyper Turbo - NL Dealer's Choice Stud Mix for KRW 2,834,230 (~USD 2,091).

Platonov had put together several trips to the payout desk before this victory, including a runner-up finish in Event #2 and third place in Event #42 earlier at APT Jeju 2026. This time, he went one better to claim his maiden APT title.

China’s Yujie Sun finished runner-up for KRW 1,890,000 (~USD 1,395), while compatriot Liu Yin rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,180,000 (~USD 871).

Chinese amateur Yixiang Zhu celebrated his first APT victory after navigating the 82-entry field in Event #61: Tick Tock BOOM!, taking home KRW 5,411,574 (~USD 3,994).

Zhu overcame Thailand’s Chamanan Arthachinta heads-up to claim his maiden APT title, with Arthachinta collecting KRW 3,850,000 (~USD 2,841) for his runner-up finish. China’s Hui Wu rounded out the podium in third for KRW 2,520,000 (~USD 1,860).

The career-best payday saw Jiang more than double his previous lifetime live tournament earnings, while also earning the Chinese player his maiden APT title.

Japan’s Sugai Yusuke finished runner-up for KRW 14,630,000 (~USD 10,797), while the Philippines’ Elmer Kalaquian completed the podium in third for KRW 9,340,000 (~USD 6,893).
