Hongjun Zhao opened to 800 from early position and was called by Rene von Reden in the cutoff, Daisuke Abiko on the button, and Dajie Zhuo in the small blind. Yang Liao wasn't having it and shoved for 23,400 total from the big blind, which got folds from everyone but Abiko, who asked for a count and called with a covering stack.

The pot came down to a race, and the T A K J 3 runout favored Liao this time after improving him to two pair for the double-up.

Hirohisa Yukawa

Hirohisa Yukawa made it 600 to play from under the gun and was looked up by Sun Yubo in late position. Action came to Pin Quan Ong, who three-bet to 2,000 from the hijack.

Maxim Lykov sat on the button made the call, as did Yukawa and Yubo.

The dealer peeled off the flop of 4 7 K , and it was checked to Lykov, who fired out for 1,500. Yukawa called, and the other players folded quickly.

The action went check-check on the T turn for the players to see the 3 roll off on the river.

Yukawa fired out for 3,000 and after a short tank, Lykov made the call. Yukawa flipped over A J and was shipped the pot as Lykov sent his cards to the muck.

Hirohisa Yukawa raised to 500 and called a three-bet of 1,600 from Sun Yubo on the button.

Yukawa check-called a 1,000 bet from Yubon on the 8 K K flop, but check-folded after Yubo barreled for 3,000 on the 3 turn.

Flight D is already up to 42 players about halfway through Level 2, with late registration remaining open through the flight for any late arrivals.

Kasidit Sukwongjan

Action folded to Achang Gu in the cutoff who made it 600 to play and found calls from Xu Di in the small blind and Kasidit Sukwongjan in the big blind.

The flop came Q 2 2 and it was checked to Gu, who continued for 1,200. Di folded, and Sukwongjan made the call.

The action went check-check on the J turn, and the dealer peeled off the A as the river. Both players checked again, and Sukwongjan tabled K J to be pushed the pot while Gu mucked his cards.

Kunlei Xie raised to 500 from the cutoff and found one caller in Achang Gu on the button.

Both players checked on the A J 2 flop and then Xie bet 600 on the K turn. Gu responded with a raise to 2,300 and Xie called.

The 6 completed the board and Xie checked. Gu sized up for a bet of 6,000 and Xie decided to look him up after a bit of thought.

Gu turned over Q T for the nuts and Xie sent his cards into the muck.

Abraham Ceesvin

APT Jeju 2025 Main Event Champion, Abraham Ceesvin, has just taken his seat.

Ceesvin who took down the title after multiple near main event misses is looking to get a bag through to Day 2 in the final flight to continue the defence of his title.

Ceesvin joins 2024 APT Taipei Poker Classic Champion, Rene von Reden, who has also just taken his seat along with recent Mystery Bounty Champion Daisuke Abiko.

Achang Gu opened to 300 from under the gun and was called by Yi Bowen on the button and Abraham Ceesvin in the small blind. Dzmitry Urbanovich then squeezed to 1,800 from the big blind, which got a call from Gu, but folds from Bowen and Cessvvin for a heads-up pot.

Both players checked on the 6 T 8 flop and then Urbanovich check-folded facing a 1,400 bet from Gu on the 9 turn.

It’s last-chance saloon time, with the final flight of the 2026 APT Jeju Main Event upon us here at the luxurious Les A Casino, Jeju, with Flight D kicking off at 6 p.m. local time.

Two of the four starting flights have run their course over the last two days, while Flight C is currently playing down to a conclusion on the grandiose casino floor.

To date, the Main Event has drawn a total of 975 entries — 297 from Flight A, 239 from Flight B, 216 (at the time of writing) from Flight C, and 223 OnLive entries. With late registration open until the start of Level 2 on Day 2, that number is expected to increase significantly.

Currently, 194 players have bagged up chips from one of the opening flights and will return for Day 2, where they will join the survivors from Flights C and D to battle it out on the felt until they reach the money and bag up for Day 3. These players will then join the 31 OnLive qualifiers who have already secured their place in Day 3 and are already in the money.

Xiubo Li

Top dog after the first two starting flights is China’s Xiubo Li, who raked up a whopping 381,000 from his stellar Flight A performance. Li’s compatriot Liangqiang Pang (327,600), who took his chance in Flight B, and Russia’s Dmitrii Belikov (306,000), from Flight A, round out the current top three chip leaders. Will a new top dog emerge to knock Li off the top spot, or will he hang on to the chip lead?

With the number of survivors growing, a plethora of APT regulars and notable players have, as expected, got their bags through to Day 2. These include recent Korea National Cup winner Lee Wee Liew (128,200) and Super High Roller Champion Teeraphat Rangkatekarn (38,000). They join former APT Main Event champion, Dicky Tsang (30,700), in Day 2.

Other notables who should be on the radar include Jianfeng Sun (169,100), Vinay Boob (147,800), Ren Lin (125,400), Martin Sedlak (99,000), Jun Li (98,600), Tom Verbruggen (76,500), and Natural8 Ambassadors Nevan Chang (69,500) and Kitty Kuo (65,600).

Flight D kicks off at 6 p.m. local time and features an identical structure to Flight C, which is currently in play. The first six levels will last 30 minutes, before the final four levels increase to 45 minutes each.

Players start with 40,000 in chips, with the blinds starting at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break after Levels 4 and 7 are completed. A total of ten levels will be played before surviving players bag up their chips and return for Day 2 on September 30.

Late registration for the Main Event closes at the start of Level 2 on Day 2 (September 30 at ~12:15 p.m.), so there is still plenty of time for any max late-reg players to jump in and grab a piece of the pie.
