Toby Joyce

Tom Verbruggen raised to 80,000 from under the gun before next-to-act Toby Joyce three-bet to 225,000. When the action got back to him, Verbruggen jammed and Joyce called, putting his tournament life on the line.

Toby Joyce: A A

Tom Verbruggen: 7 7

Joyce looked good for a double, but the disastrous 7 in the window gave way to a 7 6 2 flop, vaulting Verbruggen ahead.

The Irish player found no reprieve on the 2 J runout, and he hit the rail.
