Johan Schultz-Pedersen
Just on the the second hand, an all-in and a call happened on Table #82.
It all started when Gerald Karlic opened for 40,000 from hijack and got a three-bet from Johan Schultz-Pedersen in the cutoff for 120,000. When action returned to him, Karlic shoved all-in for more than 600,000 covering Schultz-Pedersen's stack behind.
Schultz-Pedersen didn't hesitate, however, and immediately, called putting his tournament life on the line.
Johan Schultz-Pedersen: K K
Gerald Karlic: A K
It was a classic battle between big slick and kings but the flop came A A 7 . Everyone cheered except for Schultz-Pedersen. When the 7 fell on the turn, the players on the other table started spreading the word that Schultz-Pedersen was drawing dead prompting him to start packing his things.
The inconsequential J river was dealt. Schultz-Pedersen was left disheartened as the rest of the floor celebrated making the money.
