Choi Eng Loong
With action stagnating, the average stack has dropped from 33 big blinds, to just over 20 big blinds.
There have been a number of open-jams from the blinds but not much post flop action.
Choi Eng Loong has been taking advantage of the tighter play by opening a lot of hands once the action had folded around to him.
In a recent hand, Choi Eng Loong opened to 200,000 from middle position and Seungmook Jung called from the cutoff.
The players saw a 9 3 5 flop and checked to the K turn.
Loong bet 350,000 and Jung called.
The A river saw Loong use a time bank before moving all in. Jung picked up a stack, placed it just behind the line, but ultimately mucked his hand.
Loong did however lose some chips partaking in a number of sequential hands and being forced to fold.
He defended the big blind against an under the gun open from Ran Ilani and mucked his hand after facing a bet by Ilani on a A 7 A flop.
He also opened to 215,000 from the cutoff and faced a 900,000 three-bet from Jung, to which he folded.
Despite this, Loong still sat at the top of the counts, having plenty to play with.
