A number of world-renowned players remain in the APT Main Event, many of whom began their journey yesterday, including Erik Seidel, Michael Wang, Kitty Kuo, Roman Hrabec, and Abraham Ceesvin. After the first two levels of play today, chips have been moving across the tables, with plenty of action unfolding on the felt.
Steve O’Dwyer has hit the ground running. After bagging 73,100 last night, he has nearly doubled his stack in just over two hours of play. This marks O’Dwyer’s first APT appearance, and he is already making waves. Yesterday, he cashed in sixth place in the Superstar Championship for TWD 3,394,400 (~USD 107,000), adding a significant first APT cash to his record.
Alexander Wice
Alexander Wice and Calvin Lee were amongst those who joined during late registration today, both having played in the Superstar Challenge yesterday. Wice finished in 7th place, while Lee took down the event outright. In the Main Event, Lee has made modest gains in his first hour of play, while Wice has steadily climbed since registering at 11:00 a.m.
Michael Wang
Table 35 has drawn a crowd, with Chih Wei Fan, Roman Hrabec, and Michael Wang all seated together for Day 2. Cameras are circling for good reason, as the table has already seen plenty of battles. Hrabec has well over his starting stack after entering the day with 36,800, while Fan has added a few thousand to his holdings. Michael Wang has also enjoyed a steady start, maintaining the stack he bagged at the close of Day 1 at 220,000, but he took a tumble rececntly against fellow table mate Hrabec.
Erik Seidel
Previous APT Jeju 2025 Main Event champion, Abraham Ceesvin remains in contention, regaining chips to sit at just over 50 big blinds. Taiwan’s Justin Chi Jen Chu has also built on his starting stack, while Kitty Kuo has taken a small hit in the early levels. Erik Seidel, meanwhile, has lost around half his stack.
Dylan Linde
Joseph Cheong and three-time WSOP bracelet winner Dylan Linde both began the day short, with Cheong at 32,000 and Linde even shorter. Their runs ended in Level 10, as both hit the rail. Linde went down to his final 100 black chip and got kicked out on the river.
Cheong already holds multiple APT Championship titles, including his most recent victory at the Zodiac Classics in Jeju just a few months ago. With plenty more events to come in the APTC series, Cheong is certain to be back in the mix in the coming days.
